Re: Increase in Prices Of Some NF Plans

I am in the same boat. I changed my plan just this month. Because I have been using around 10gigs during peak hour. My old naked adsl plan had an excess fee of $3 per gb. As such instead of paying $45 a month, I was paying around $50 or more. Changing to the $50 a month plan for 30gb during peak was...

hooray... I think it should be fine now.. could be my modem that is acting up, I just restarted my modem, and I got this on speedtest.

Just before restarting my modem, I couldn't get more than 5mbps download on speedtest.net.

This is what I got at 9.40am. Nothing else is running, is it normal because it is during the offpeak hours?

Will test again later during peak.

I don't have a download manager, but since you said it is normal it should be fine then.

Re: naked ADSL2 is this speed acceptable?

Your current bandwidth reading is: 1.72 Mbps which means you can download at 219.55 KB/sec. from our servers. I am getting this speed at 7.14pm from the exetel speed test. However, I am getting better results from speedtest.net is that normal? http://www.speedtest.net/result/680897779.png However, ...

Re: naked ADSL2 is this speed acceptable?

I have just read on the website that ADSL speed is 9.5mbps on average...

So, am I very far off? What can I do about this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: naked ADSL2 is this speed acceptable?

Your current bandwidth reading is: 2.02 Mbps which means you can download at 258.16 KB/sec. from our servers. this is the best I have got from the exetel speed test. Is there something that I should be tweaking? I am not too sure what settings to adjust or check to ensure that I have optimum speed.

Re: naked ADSL2 is this speed acceptable?

Hooray, I've adjusted a setting on my modem forcing it to be on GDMT instead of having the option of BIS/BIS+/GDMT. That seemed to do the trick. http://www.speedtest.net/result/672126525.png Should i be tweaking the other settings? Coding gain (currently auto, should i change it to 7 ?) Tx Attenuati...

naked ADSL2 is this speed acceptable?

http://www.speedtest.net/result/672100778.png I have noticed for the last month or so that I could never seem to get really fast speeds on my ADSL2. I have done the speed test a quite a few times and it has even come up below 1Mbps a few times. Is that normal for adsl2 ? I remember it being a lot f...
