Re: Voip and Engin

Hi Furphy, I've just set up my SPA-2000 to work with my exetel voip account after engin unlocked it. Here's how I got it to work: Under the "Line 1" tab of the web config of the voice box (http://xx.xx.xx.xx/admin/basic), enter the following settings. Line enable: Yes SIP port: 5060 Proxy: The "SIP ...

Re: Migration Path For AnyPhone Plan Users

I notice a few people stating they want to retain their PSTN services. I'm in the other boat. We now use VoIP for all our calls, so would try to change to a Naked ADSL plan once the Anyphone contract is up. If it was possible to use mobile broadband for the changeover downtime it would be great. The...

Re: Increased ADSL2 Plan Allowances

On Powertel ADSL2, would like to know if Optus is available in my area ... Type your phone number into the box on the http://whirlpool.net.au/ frontpage and it will tell you who has DSLAMs in your exchange. I'm looking at the same thing once my Anyphone contract is up, but according to this post th...

Hello all,

I'm on an "Anyphone" plan. Is this via Powertel or Optus DSLAM?

Martin,
ADSL connected Xmas eve, the phone line was week or so before that.
The bill is dated 23 Feb and is for "Services and equipment rental" for Feb 19 to Mar 18.

DBligh, No, you wont have to pay ongoing line rental costs. I think I'm just having a problem of some sort. What you will need if you're moving into a new house, is a working Telstra phone line that Exetel can setup the ADSL on and then cancel. This means you may have to pay a Telstra connection fee...

Who cancels the phone service after Naked DSL connected?

Hi, I recently signed up for Naked ADSL. I had to connect a Telstra phone line to the premises. I thought the application form said that Exetel would cancel the phone component of the line after they had hooked up the ADSL. This hasn't happened as I've just recieved a phone bill for a 2nd months pho...
