Re: Plan change assistance

It is only for new users. Why? Because the wholesaler prices things that way, ie giving a rebate to exetel for net new adds. Read more of the explanation at: https://johnl.blogs.exetel.com.au/index.php?/archives/5467-The-Tyranny-Of-Carrier-Wholesale-Measurements.html As this appears to be a Telstra...

Re: Billing Date Change

Over the next few days we will consider having two bill runs per month - one remaining on the first working day of each month and one on the 15th of each month....or perhaps 4 bill runs on the first four Mondays or Fridays of each month. have been thinking about this, lots of positives I guess to s...

Re: OCV200 Bundled ADSL with telephone service

On the sign up form https://www.exetel.com.au/members/service_naked_upgrade_bundle.php in "member services", for say the OCV200 plan, there is a section as follows: I would like these Exetel services [ ] A full telephony service (this includes local calls, long distance and service and equipment cha...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

Again, I remain puzzled as to why anyone thinks paying 10 cents for a VoIP call is somehow an advantage over paying zero for a PSTN call. I could be wrong, but the implication is that 'free' is generally not, and the customer is paying indirectly through some other 'fee' (maybe the monthly fee in t...

Re: Naked users forgotten?

From - Exetel January 2011 Customer News Letter received by me 3 hours ago. "If you do not change your current Exetel plan (...) you may continue to remain on your current ADSL plan but, from 1st February 2011, the monthly charge will increase by $10.00 per month for each 'old plan'." Classic carrot...

Re: New Residential Members Facilities

I just don't understand the need for constantly changing things! What the new design does is group things nicer into "My" categories (Details, Invoices, Services, Usage, Difference). The previous design suffered a little from a long left hand menu list I do realise there may be good reasons for it,...

I would much prefer the $0.5 per extra gigabyte as my plan currently is.

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)

Personally i don't understand the point of unlimited plans. I generally prefer when everyone pays for what they use - at least then I know I'm not subsidising someone else. Isn't the real issue for any infrastructure service always 'peak load'. How about a real-time cost allocation/billing system wh...

Brilliant idea. I would be very much in favour of this, it would be very beneficial for me.

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Hi Raymond, I have installed all 4 (5?) versions and each time I have the same problem: the application installs perfectly, but upon running it, it self-exists after i choose my access point. However I know that this access point is working. My phone is a Nokia 5320 with s60 v3 i believe. Is it not...
