Re: New website glitches

All the application status pages ask for a 10 digit phone number but lack a field to put it in. In the troubleshooting section in the bottom half of http://www.exetel.com.au/my_exetel.php pretty much all the links that don't point to either this forum or the wiki are broken (sends you to the home pa...

Re: New website glitches

Not a glitch, but... With the levels of data allowance on your plans you have "get what you want", "get what you need", and "get everything" - in that order from smallest quota to biggest. I personally think that getting what I "want" necessitates a larger quota than getting just what I "need". Or n...

Re: Unlimited ADSL2 Plans

To be sustainable you would have to have some form of acceptable usage policy outlining that customers shouldn't download over xGB/TB or whatever limit wouldn't you? Otherwise telling them that they need to move from an unlimited plan because they are no longer profitable, like you did at one stage,...

Re: One quota to rule them all...

This isn't the first time this has been raised. It is difficult to do because a GB of data with mobile broadband costs a lot more than a GB over ADSL1/2+, so any time you used your mobile broadband you would be taking massive chunks out of that shared quota. From what I understand though, Exetel hav...

Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts

Is there any information online with the details of how this works? I can't see anything here: http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-mobile-cap-plans.php Perhaps https://www.exetel.com.au/members/mobile_plans.php ? What would be the total cost of 2 X CAP19 mobile plans plus the OT-20 ADSL plan? $57....

Re: NBNCo Fibre Plans

Right now less than 5,000 people can get' NBN2' fibre so "putting out a press release" on a service that is available to one hundredth of one percent of current ADSL users would seem to be, at least to me, utterly pointless or, more precisely, the act of a total wanker. While it is pointless in tha...

Re: NBNCo Fibre Plans

It's a pity you don't put out press statements like several other ISPs seem to do. We have Internode's plan announcement popping up on several news sites, and we have a statement from Dodo saying they will be bringing out sub-$40 plans. The fact that you have sub-$40 plans isn't reaching the public ...

Re: Customer Referral Scheme

I would like credits on my account, that or Exetel shares :D How about we are given the choice to reinvest into an Exetel advertising program, and when people who choose the advertising program as the source of where they heard about Exetel (or perhaps there can be a special promo code) when they s...

Re: Customer Referral Scheme

I would have referred dozens by now from my websites, but I haven't simply because I don't want strangers knowing my home phone number. Come up with a better private way to match me to those I refer and I'd be happy with the $30 a pop. There is the lite agent program. I would much prefer to use it ...

Re: Customer Referral Scheme

Plus if you managed to buy gift cards in bulk you might be able to get a discount on them and therefore could offer $120 of gift cards for your $100. While I would be happier for the credit to come onto my account and then redirect my own money where ever I want, perhaps giving options on how you re...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

Am I now reading it right in saying it is 6 months free ADSL2+ without the need to bundle a mobile cap plan? But then if you do get a cap plan there is an additional monthly discount of $10, $15 or $20 depending on the plan you choose? Do you still get that additional discount on your bill during th...

Re: Off Peak Allowances

In http://www.exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_adsl2_new.php is currently gives two premium (optus) plan tabs. The first says "excluding telephone line" but it actually necessitate a $30 line rental through Optus / Exetel, so perhaps the title should just be "ADSL2+" for the first tab, or "ADSL2+ (no c...

Re: Off Peak Allowances

We have put three replacement Optus based plans on the web site that are 'couched' in the words/methods used by other ISP providers. Any comments would be welcomed. Like the 50c excess. Like the $30 line rental being taken out of the ADSL2+ price. Would prefer .95 instead of .99. When comparing to ...

Re: Off Peak Allowances

The Optus based plans start at only 20gb downloads for $50 with no Off Peak allowances. Those plans include telephone line rental - they aren't just ADSL plans. Perhaps we should take a leaf out of Telstra's/TPG's book and show that price as $20.00 per month and then add a codicil that it requires ...

Re: Off Peak Allowances

Mixed feelings... I would like to see some off peak feature return, however I think unlimited/unmetered hasn't been done successfully in the past and shouldn't be attempted again. How about offering a 1:1 peak/off peak... make a 20GB plan 20GB/20GB? Or make say every 3GB downloaded during off peak o...
