Re: Change Plan section in new Dashboard
Gday, Is there any chance the plan change ( as mentioned in this post) will be updated from- "Coming soon" for NBN customers? We've been out of contract for ~ 11 mths now and most of that time the plan change has said as above... Any chance we'll be offered the current NBN plans that have been offer...

Keeping email address when swapping to HSPA
Gday, We've moved and can't get adsl at our new address. We have 2x exetel premium MBB services ( WI A )
Is there a way we can make sure our email address is still attached to these services and doesn't get deleted as
the "cancel ADSL service" page mentions...
Thanks, Jim

Re: HSDPA Outage in Melbourne??
I've been having same problems as others here when I visit Melbourne once a month. All works fine at home in Albury... Seems the same at many locations in and near city. I've tried a few modems, different times of the day. Service in city seemed OK until the last few months. Is there anything that c...

Re: How to connect e160 modem to existing router?
Gday, After fiddling with sharing 3g wirelessly recently I've tried both the Netgear MBR624GU ( $108 from MSY.com.au ) and also the Netcomm N3goo5w ( $105 from MSY ). Netgear has more lan ports ( 4 ? ) to netcomm 1. Both similar to setup though the netgear comes with more bits ( USB ext, proper stan...

Re: yagi antennas
I've recently added a signal direction finder and magnipier to my Yagi , how it works is when the main arm of the Yagi antenna is aligned with the Broadband Enabled Activity Key ( henceforth known by the acronym of "b.e.a.k." , the direction of signal reception is optimal. Here's how it looks - ---...

Re: yagi antennas
Mixed results so far with the exetel yagi antenna. My parents have a holiday house in an optus 900Mhz fringe area (no gsm coverage without an antenna at the house - but somewhat usable 3km down the road) - and I signed them up on a 5Gb account. Had intended to use a woktenna to improve the signal (...

Re: Mac OSX VoIP Software
Gday, Unless you are just wanting to play with voip, you may as well just get an ATA and use a normal phone or cordless phone. Voip is well and truly tried now and lots of people have been using it as there "main phone". Softphones are really a poor mans phone and until you get an ATA and cordless p...

Re: New Service VOIP Setup questions
Gday, If you login to the exetel "member facilities" , down the left "voip" , then select " change voip services ". Make sure you're using the same voip number and password listed there. The configure button lets you set up voice mail etc and other features. To login to the exetel site you'll probab...

Gday, I'm not sure if it says this anywhere on the exetel site, but this was a response from support a few months back when I was trying to get divert working... -------------------- Thank you for your e-mail. Please find that you can divert call within Australia only. Regards, Himantha J Exetel Sup...

Re: Where do I find the size of my web space?
I use Winscp for managing webspace. If you right click a folder > properties > calculate you get the size of a folder, subfolders and contents . The php script linked above is handy if you don't want to go into your FTP program though.

Re: Can't receive from Telstra system- Fixed or mobile phones
Someone rang and told me today that our number couldn't be ported to voip after all. We had the PSTN number with Exetel for 12mths+ so not sure quite what the problem is. I had a lot of trouble understanding the bloke from Exetel who rang. Might have been handy to know this before the 2 months of ha...

Re: Can't receive from Telstra system- Fixed or mobile phones
Thanks, It would be good if this could be sorted out soon. I've tried most everything I can. I got a Teslstra prepaid sim so I could test quite a few things on my end. Somehow it seems the number was not picked up by Telstra as being active. I rang Telstra but they say I can only get Exetel to sort ...
