Re: Will Netcomm V100 ATA work with Zyxel router?

Okay, so now I've downloaded the softphone setup that Exetel recommends (XLite) and rang my mate's mobile on that. Without using a microphone myself I could hear him talking through my speakers. There was a delay, but the main problem was the extreme ECHO and computer sounds that came through. We tr...

Re: Will Netcomm V100 ATA work with Zyxel router?

OK, there has now been some slight movement in a better direction, as there is now a dialtone on the phone, hence can ring a number, as we tested to make a call to my mobile phone. However there was no calling tone while waiting for someone to pick up as you would hear on a normal phone, I have a ma...

Re: Will Netcomm V100 ATA work with Zyxel router?

Hey Jok11n, I purchased the Linksys PAP2-NA Internet Phone Adapter and have tried setting it up myself. I carefully followed all of the instructions and and possibly configured it correctly, but I'm not sure, as it doesn't work. Can someone at Exetel help me via phone? I have all of the settings men...

Re: Will Netcomm V100 ATA work with Zyxel router?

Hi jok11n. I've done some searching for this item you suggested and actually found it pretty cheap from shops on this page: http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-linksys-pap2t-price-19321.html Alternatively, the PAP2-NA is cheaper here on Ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Linksys-PAP2-NA-VOIP-SIP-ATA-Unlocked_W0...

Re: Will Netcomm V100 ATA work with Zyxel router?

the V100 is a reliable but extremely basic ATA, I have a few of them but personally I would recommend the Linksys PAP2T as a much better (and more readily available) option Thanks for your feedback and thoughts, but why is it better? Speed, connectivity, quality of phone conversation (i.e. less sta...

Will Netcomm V100 ATA work with Zyxel router?

Hi there. I have a Zyxel ADSL 2+ router already and it works fine. It is a Prestige 600 series. I'm looking at buying an analogue telephone adapter so that I can use VOIP. I'm guessing that the Netcomm V100 ATA is a good choice since it is on Exetel's recommended list. Does anyone know whether this ...

This device is designed to work with Asterisk, if you don't run your own Asterisk server then this is not the right device for you, buy yourself a SIP compliant ATA only
Ok, thanks jok11n.

Any help here? https://www.digium.com/elqNow/elqRedir.htm?ref=http://docs.digium.com/S101I/Iaxy_Installation_Guide.pdf Edit: Sorry, I imagine that's what you have. Getting VOIP to work with Digium s101i ATA

Hi there. I have spent 6 hours today trying to get my VOIP phone to work and cannot. I really don'y know much about configuring settings, VOIP, Analogue Telephone Adapters (ATAs) or even the internet in terms of configuring things, AT ALL. Please help! Re: Can Exetel cut-over from an IInet Phone plan/set-up?

Oh yes, you are right. Most modems do come with manuals and set-up guides. However, since my mate sold it to me and had had it for years, the only additional thing that came with it was a power cord. No manual in site. That's why I couldn't figure it out. One other problem I have at the moment and h...

Free upgrade... thanks Exetel!

I recently checked out my download statistics and saw a change there. Without any notification at all I have seen that Exetel have upgraded my download limit per month at no extra cost. Thanks for that Exetel! I’ve gone from getting 12GB onpeak download to 18GB onpeak download per month with my 48GB...

Re: Can Exetel cut-over from an IInet Phone plan/set-up?

I have gone with Exetel and am a happy customer of theirs! I actually joined up months ago, but wanted to 'test the waters' before getting back on here and letting people know my results. (Now from memory): I ended up paying $29.95 or something to set up a Telstra Home Line Budget plan and then $19....

Re: Can Exetel cut-over from an IInet Phone plan/set-up?

VERY HELPFUL, thank you Corey!!

So, if, for instance, I would want to go with Internode instead... (hypothetical), it would probably end up being cheaper, because from my reading around, they have Optus lines. Anywho, thanks again!
