Problem accessing email accounts whilst abroad

Hi, I have been using webmail for the last 10 days without a problem but, this morning I was saving a draft email reply when I was kicked off with the message "Incorrect username or password". I have tried to log back in but to no avail. What can the problem be? It seems that all of my email account...

Re: Change to Fibre - Good News + bad news

THE SAGA CONTINUES ----- To complete the transfer to Fibre Plan Exetel has created a new account based on my new Wireline number. Then the problems start. 1, The day after the account is tranferred my emails disappear! A call to Exetel fixes this with only about 12 hours of emails missing. 2, I have...

Change to Fibre - Good News + bad news

Hi All, The good news is that my change to fibre took about 1 hour and all is well. Speed is up from approx 4Mb/s to 15-20Mb/s which is great. I selected the TSB30-300 Plan which has a max of 30Mb/s. I am using a FritzBox 7270 ($198 at OZcableguy) this modem is the cheaper option to the 7370 at $299...

Process to Transfer from ADSL to Fibre in South Brisbane

Hi all, I tried to transfer to fibre about 2 months ago when a Telstra Contractor was in our apartment building installing fibre to the home. I was intending to move to another suburb in June so I did not proceed to connect at that time. I now intend to stay where I am and need to transfer to fibre ...

Re: South Brisbane Fibre cange next week

Hi lightsight, Thanks for your info, I had already called Exetel and have now advised them ( Exetel) that as I am soon to move to Hamilton I will leave the fibre transfer to my new tenant. It is quite likely he will have a Telstra connection and will not have any problems (and may score a free wirel...

Re: Fritz box?? huge opportunity here..

Hi, I haven't read all the pages of response, but for home use the Fritz.Box 7270 seems to have all the VoIP features, DECT etc available for $199 at Cableguy. I have just fired mine up and it works really well. According to other reports to is good for up to 50Mbps compared to the 7370 at $299 whic...

Re: South Brisbane Fibre change not completed

Hi all, I had an SMS from Exetel to confirm my connection to the SB fibre service on 17th in the PM. The connection to my apartment is complete but the Telstra guy needs to activate the connection, he did not turn up. What next?

South Brisbane Fibre cange next week

I am scheduled to have a changeover to Fibre next week and have ordered the TSB30-300 Option. I am very happy with my VoIP service and do not use the wireline phone currently. I was recently changed to the ADSL2+ OF-20 plan but had to have a Telstra wireline as Optus was not available in South Brisb...

Re: Lost ADSL+ Service as result from Fault Notice

I have just enabled my ADSL Modem with the correct password. Since I first set it up my account has been reset on 2 occasions. When I accessed it today I had no email addresses and as a result no emails were getting through. It seems that if I try to access the wireline through my modem it resets th...

Re: Lost ADSL+ Service as result from Fault Notice

Hi All, It seems I was a bit hasty, my Internet service has once again failed. At the present time my modem is showing a tick for ADSL but the Internet has failed and my VoIP number is not active. It is possible that my Wireless Modem/Router settings were changed this morning and should have been sa...

Re: Lost ADSL+ Service as result from Fault Notice

James, Thanks for your intervention, I now have my Internet and VoIP back which is awesome. I also have half of my new wireline working, ie; I can dial out but no one can dial in. The new number is supposed to be 07 3255 3105 but it has a message on it saying "not in service". Provisioning are worki...

Lost ADSL+ Service as result from Fault Notice

In December and then in mid-January I posted a Fault Notice to advise that my Wireline number had ceased to function. I am on the South Brisbane Exchange which is currently being replaced with fibre optic. I noted that Optus had put a message on my wireline number advising that the number had been c...

Re: Off Peak Periods

My two cents worth: - I think extending the off peak from 1200 to 1500 would help to level off the graph. There is not a lot in it.

Re: Mobile Offerings From Exetel

I would like something simple for the mobile user who is usually spending between $5 - $10 per month, total calls between 10 and 20. I am very happy with the Vodafone service. I would also be interested in plans which could combine 2 or more mobiles in the one account. Free calls between these mobil...
