Could Exetel please provide a summary of this thread for users who do not have the time to read through all these pages. Support No Response, Next Steps?

I have an open issue (3458678) regarding incorrect billing opened with Exetel on 7th Dec. Last email response from Exetel was on 15 Dec 2010 with "The first issue that you have mentioned in the email below will be checked with the voice manager and will advice you when done." I have also placed 1 ca...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Q1: History - PSTN with Telstra, ADSL 1 with Netspace - Ported PSTN Number to VOIP with GoTalk, - Moved house, (Same exchange) - Got Naked ADSL with Exetel. If I move to the OCV plan can I port my VOIP currently with GoTalk back to PSTN with Exetel? (I am still in the ame exchange that the VOIP was ...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

1. How much would it cost to break the contract? considering I can pay $40 to waive the contract I expect the contract break charged should also be $40? 2. What if I do stay on my old plan? how much longer till Exetel forces me off the plan? At the moment staying on my current plan with the $10 incr...

Re: New CAP (Optus) data usage page

Hi Shoner (Exetel Staff) One of the reasons for the forums is to try and address common problems and thus reduce the load to support individual users. You standard response of ' "contact residential support" really does not serve the purpose and make the forums useless. You are essentially reducing ...

Re: New SIM, No Voicemail

All ok now, Even though I had selected Value Added Services when activating the SIM it was not active in my account. I had to go into 'Wireless' Not 'Mobile' to select and activate Voicemail. Once Activated I was able to set up my Voicemail by dialing 321 from my mobile. after some time voice mail w...

New SIM, No Voicemail

Do I have to do something to enable Voicemail. I selected it when I applied for the CAP19 plan. now when I call 321 it asked me to enter my number to access my mail box. When I enter the number and press #, I get "Service is temporarily unavailable, please try again later" I really need Voicemail ac...

Re: APN for new CAP Plans

I tried this on both the new SIMs I ordered and on 2 different phones and in all cases I had to use the Optus APN and APN of Exetel1 would not work. Couple of weeks later though, it stopped working and then had to use exetel1 Makes sense as it seems like the new SIMs are not fully setup with Exetel ...

APN for new CAP Plans

FYI, if setting up a data connection with the new Optus based plans.

the APN of exetel1 as indicated in the welcome email does NOT work

The Optus APN of 'connect' needs to be used.
seems to work fine for http and streaming (like youtube) on my ancient Sony Ericson v600i.

Re: Questions about new mobile plans

Confirmed this as well. When E2E calls are exhausted, they will be charged in addition. These call types do not overflow in to the normal cap included call value. Thanks for the clarification, I must say that this is rather counter productive for Exetel. i.e. if I recommend too many friends to Exet...

New Service Provisioning

On Friday I applied to move my 2 mobile plans from the old Exetel(Vodafone) to the new Exetel(Optus) plans. Received 2 emails today for "HSPA Service Notification" i.e. my 2 plans were being provisioned for an Exetel HSPA Connection. Now I understand that this is actually my mobile plans request and...

Re: $20 activation fee for existing users too high

Thanks, I mailed them and they advised that no discount is possible.
so new or existing Exetel user, you still need to pay the $20 activation fee.

$20 activation fee for existing users too high

It would be good to have a discounted activation fee for those already with Exetel mobile (Vodafone network) who want to move to the new plans (Optus network). As I understand I could switch to other providers BYO/SIM only plans for little or no cost so why such a high cost to switch to Exetel plans...

Re: Free Vodafone to Vodafone

Just had a friend check and confirmed that calls from 3 to Exetel (Vodafone network) are not free.

Though When I called using Vodafone prepaid to Exetel (Vodafone network), my bonus V2V minutes were deducted.
