Important Notice ...

Hi Can you please remove Important notice from the subject line when you send my monthly invoice. It's not an important notice it's just an invoice. I keep getting a bit of a jolt when I see just the first two words on my email client and think that I've gone over my allowance or incurred a penalty....

Your Exetel service has been rejected

Hi

I got this email titled - Your Exetel service has been rejected

Not sure what this means as I haven;t applied for a new service? Did change plan a couple of months ago and that has happened and working fine.

Getting calls from 58*96*125*151

Hi I've got VOIP using a gigaset and a couple of nights ago received over 10 calls after midnight from the following number – 58*96*125*151. Apparently this is an exetel IP address. When the phone was answered there was no response from the other end. Is this an exetel issue or someone signed up to ...

Thanks, where do you change the snr value? I can't find anything on my modem menu.

Re: Lowering SNR to improve line speed

Thanks .. yeah just over 3km is the distance. May just leave as is then if it cannot be improved much more that current speeds. I'm guessing switching ISPs makes no difference because same line etc.

Lowering SNR to improve line speed

Hi I want to try and change snr to see if I can get better line speeds. My Billion 7300 is reporting the following: DSP FirmwareVersion DMT FwVer: 3.7.6.89_A_TC, HwVer:T14F7_1.0 DMT Status Up Operational Mode ADSL2+ Upstream 812 kbps Downstream 6173 kbps Noise Margin (Upstream) 13.6 db Noise Margin ...

Charges for Exetel Mobile to Exetel Mobile

Hi

Would I be correct in my understanding that there are no discounted rates for Exetel Mobile to Exetel Mobile calls or SMSs on for example the CAP19 plan which I believe is through Optus.

Cheers

Re: Move to Naked seems risky

It is unfortunate you are on a BYO plan. See: http://exewiki.exetel.com.au/index.php?title=ADSL_2_-_AAPT/Powertel_Products_%26_Services#Upgrades.2F_Downgrades_and_Plan_Changes I guess you need to ask yourself whether the downtime, plus $60 connection fee to a naked service (My in-head calc leads me...

Move to Naked seems risky

Hi I'm currently on one of the ADSL2 plans but thinking of ditching the land line and going naked. However the process of switching does not appear too straightforward. It looks like I have to cancel my ADSL2 plan first and then apply for naked with no guarantee that naked can be provided. From my u...

Line speed displayed on modem

Hi

Just wanted to check if I'm on the 8Mb plan what should I see as teh down line speed on my modem? I'm currently seeing 7616000 with SNR margin 16.5 and Loop Att 13.

I've tested download speeds using 3 concurrent downloads and all seems ok on that front i.e. over 800Kb/sec.
