Re: July Z* mobile specials

I am also interested in this offer, the Z15 plan in particular, but have a few questions. Will I get charge extra (on top of the $15 monthly fee) if I do not go over call and data allowances (I won't be making international calls). That is there absolutely no hidden charges just $15 per month. Secon...

Re: NB9WMAXX - Setting Up for Both VOIP and PSTN Calls

ok thanks guys. I can now receive both VOIP and landline calls now. But when I dialled out, it is using VOIP. So I tried put "##" in front of the number I am trying to dial, a message saying the dial number has been disconnected. How do I default to landline for out going calls?

Re: NB9WMAXX - Setting Up for Both VOIP and PSTN Calls

1. Do you have two phone input cables, unfiltered for ADSL (internet and VoIP); and a separate filtered one for PSTN? The ports on the back are called ADSL and LINE. You can use the filtered splitter supplied. 2. Is your handset in Phone 1? PSTN needs the FXO port, and this port has the fallback. S...

NB9WMAXX - Setting Up for Both VOIP and PSTN Calls

I am trying to set up my modem to make PSTN calls and receive VOIP calls using one phone.

Reading the manual, it suggests that to make PSTN calls I need to prefix the dial out number with "##", but it does not appear to work for me. Can anybody help?

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Yes you will receive a new number, your new PSTN will be allocated from whatever is available. You can only regain your old number as a PSTN if you ported it to VoIP in the naked conversion process. If you did not bring your PSTN across to VoIP, it is either in quarantine with your original carrier...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

porting means that your VoIP number would be converted back to a regular PSTN service, if you still want to use VoIP for incoming calls then you would need a new DID allocated Reading the various posts here, I was of the understanding that you could not do that. You might only be able to do that if...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

Do I get to choose a new landline number then? If yes, how and when do I do this? Thanks M You cannot choose a new PSTN number. Check Paul's posts on the various options for porting a VoIP number as your new PSTN number. Oh...ok. So porting of a VoIP number to the new PSTN is that like forwarding t...

Re: Issue with Making/Receiving Calls

Thanks Dazzled. I have checked my settings against the setup guide. The only differences are at Step 13 where the SIP domain name was left blank and at Step 19 I didn't tick enable internal call. I have rectified these now, but not sure if these are the cause of my problem. Will give it another go a...

Re: Issue with Making/Receiving Calls

I am on a naked plan with VOIP. The modem I am using is Netcomm NB9WMAXX. The issue I am having is that every now and then I can't make or receive VOIP calls, but access to the internet is still possible. When this occurs, and if you try to dial out you would hear the numbers being dialled and then...

Applying for Naked

I need some clarification regarding my application. This is what has happened. On 28 June, my account with the previous ISP was cancelled. So the following Monday I went online to apply to join with Exetel. Today, I got an email saying that my application was rejected due to "complex service". It tu...

Looking to Join Exetel Naked ADSL2+ & VOIP

Hi there, I am considering joining naked ASDL2+ with VOIP. I have a couple of questions. - At the moment, I am with TPG. I want to churn over from TPG to Exetel, but the online form does not allow me to choose this, so how do I enter my TPG account details to faciltate the churn. I am not disconnect...
