Re: Slow speeds - TSV CBD exchange
I have checked your past usage records and It appears that your line is being saturated. For testing purposes, can you please stop doing any uploads (P2P torrent, Software updates, etc...) and provide me few more speed test results? Do you know what the term saturated means thejeg? If my line was '...

Recently the system indicates that your modem achieving the speeds at a acceptable rates. If you experience the slow speeds in different time frames please check as below for further investigation. * 3 random speed tests during the time you have slow speeds using http://www.exetel.com.au/speed and ...

Re: Is there anything that can be done?
we've pretty much confirmed that exetel are throttling single-connection bandwidth here: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1759317 I'd like to know if anything can be done too. A few people seem to be unaffected, perhaps something is malfunctioning on exetel's side? Could an exetel ...

Re: New House, Slower than expected and unhappy
Some figures from my modem config: You should be able to also find your sync speed within your modem config information. Try to find that number! It may be that exetel is throttling your single-thread downloads, that's why you can increase your speed by downloading multiple things at once. There is...

Re: Service dropped out for 30+ minutes
Same issue here in bracken ridge, brisbane.
Why isn't exetel able to detect these problems automatically and post an issue under 'network status'?
I'm sure theyd be able to detect all their brisbane customers dropping off all at once.
I hope it's fixed soon.

Fritz box?? huge opportunity here..
I was just wondering if there is any possibility of some fritz box action round the exetel hood? FRITZ!box sounds like one of the best modems to date. http://www.fritzbox.eu/en/index.php It includes every single feature anyone could ever want up to present times. I think there is an opportunity here...

Re: New HSPA Plans
oh and if you wanted a gimmick to attract customers, perhaps you could market the uploads as data. We don't want any gimmicks - we aren't that type of company. Well, maybe gimmick wasn't the right word. I think quite a few customers would be using their 3g connection primarily for social websites. ...

Re: New HSPA Plans
It may be possible to not count uploads in future plans. The most sensible way we can find to offer sensible plans is peak/off peak with peak being six to midnight and off peak being the other eighteen hours....or something like that. So that would result in plans with profiles like: 1/1 - $17.50 2...

Re: New HSPA Plans
Is there any chance exetel could move away from charging for uploads? Not entirely obviously, but maybe only charge the customer which ever is greater (download or upload)? Also perhaps, exetel should consider putting a safety net in place. If offpeak is introduced then people will start scheduling ...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges
hello. I applied for the speed change on the 18th, my adsl1 was set to be upgraded to adsl2+ by 12pm on the 24th (today) My modem has had no sync at all since 9am. I know that modulation for adsl2+ (and the rest too) are available for it, and I have also tried quite a few power cycles. I'd feel sill...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges
I submitted my application to change to adsl2+ on the 18th. My understanding was that my speed may be upgraded early, but I am still on my old plan (quota and peak/offpeak period) for the rest of the month (since it is not a churn but just speed change). This can't be right as my adsl1 plan (which i...
