FTTN VDSL Modem recommendations?

Hi

FTTN is being rolled out in my area. Just wanted some recommendations for a VDSL2 modem...

Curious about two options:
  • Just a simple modem with wireless 1200AC
  • A modem with 1200AC and VoIP with DECT

Re: Issues with Asterisk

Doh. The whole issue was qualify=

As I mentioned the latency suddenly increased by 100ms.

qualify was set to 50ms so therefore the host was considered lagged and it never even attempted to dial with it.

Thanks for your suggestions - they did help.

Issues with Asterisk

I'm having the following issues with Asterisk. I'm running Asterisk from AussieHQ's Sydney facility. Yesterday everything worked fine. There has been no change to the config. Some of my VoIP adaptors use one account (paid for by someone else). These work fine. I can call any number I like. One of th...

Thats a shame. I also wanted to send MMS via the API.

I found that smsglobal.com offer an MMS over HTTP gateway.

I'll post later with an example msg on the fields I'm figuring out how to use But there are some docs on it in RFC 2425 & 2426 http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2425 http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2426 ...

Re: FAQ

When will www.exetel.com.au, sip1.exetel.com.au & smtp.nsw.exemail.com.au be IPv6 enabled?

Does this mean Exetel are providing IPv6 over PPP or DHCPv6 by default, now?

Does Exetel have an IPv6 looking glass?

VCard

Has anyone sent VCard's over the Exetel SMS system? I'm attempting to do this to essentially replace paper based business cards... seems better I get the persons phone number so I can follow up their enquiry, and more convenient for them to have my complete contact details stored in their mobile pho...

Re: exesms shortcuts aren't valid

will do this but if there is an error it should be rectified in the program itself so that the shortcut is correct as the batch file is an annoying workaround that not everyone is comfortable with I agree. But its actually the installer thats the problem. I know how to do it in the NSIS installer, ...

Re: exesms shortcuts aren't valid

I wonder if this has anything to do with errors for users with Nokia PC Suite installed where trying to use the app invokes PC Suite in error, currently using a batch file as posted by another user to get around this problem Yep, Nokia Ovi on my PCs associated with the .jar extension as it will att...

Re: exesms shortcuts aren't valid

Yep - the java installer doesn't associate the .jar extension because there are different options to execute under, that may be different for each jar file, thus you're supposed to reference the java runtime and give it the path to the java application you wish to run. This is well documented as wel...

exesms shortcuts aren't valid

I noticed the new exesms 2.1 app is written in java. It creates shortcuts on windows to the target "C:\Exetel\eXeSMS Version 2.1\eXeSMS.jar" This is actually incorrect. The shortcut should target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "C:\Exetel\eXeSMS Version 2.1\eXeSMS.jar" By defa...

Re: Set up guide for the NB9WMAXX

Does anyone know how to override VoIP when placing an outbound call - so that the call is made on the PSTN rather than via VoIP?

Essentially I want to dial Telstra MessageBank on 101 or 125101
