Telstra Fibre Optic in Point Cook Victoria

I'm trying to help a new customer gain a fibre optic broadband connection in Point Cook Victoria. She lives in Banjo Paterson Circle which is not in the Alamanda Estate. She used to have a PSTN (land line) connection but had it disconnected some time ago as she uses VOIP (currently over a wireless b...

Re: Service Broken

Yesterday I sent a test email to myself and the From address showed some strange Mobile number. I have done the same today (26th July) in both the single message and the bulk message send and they both now show my own email address as the originator. Hopefully this is now fixed for everybody. Thanks...

Phone not listed in Moip application

I have a Nokia 6120 Classic and would like to try the Moip application. My phone is listed as one of the correct phones in your list of phones and is one of the phones in the select for the form at https://www.exetel.com.au/moip_order/moip_form.php for mobile users that don't have an account. For so...

Call Barring on Exetel/Optus ADSL2+ service

I notice that you can email Exetel in order to request that you have long distance call barring. Does this come with pin number over-ride like the Telstra "call control" feature where you can bar certain calls with a pin-number?

Re: Problems with FTP

After many hours of work I seem to have fixed this problem but the fix I made leaves me as confused as the problem did. To fix it I followed instructions on how to forward ports on the billion bipac 7300. Instructions are here: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Billion/Bipac...

Re: Problems with FTP

I normally use filezilla. I have also tried ws-ftp with the same problem as well as playing with MS-DOS ftp. The ftp clients log in OK then try to do a listing and just go dead.

Re: Problems with FTP

I presume that you would call it private ftp. I log into a hosting service provider with a username and password.

Problems with FTP

I'm having problems listing directories from ftp. I have the same problem on two different computers within my home LAN which is connected to the internet using Exetel's (optus) ADSL2+ network . When I disconnect one of these computers and re-connect it through the Three mobile broadband (wireless) ...

Voip Voicemail Instructions

Can you please provide a link to the usage/setup instructions for Voicemail through VOIP. I've searched hard for this and can't find it. Through the VOIP forums I see references to the use of each of the following as the access number *96 (as used on Optus ADSL2 lines directly) 101 121 and your call...

Re: Loss of Incoming phone calls

Update: It appears that some people with Optus landlines can phone us. No one with a standard Telstra land line has been able to phone us and most mobiles still can't phone us. It would be nice to at least get told that this has been passed on to the Telephone technicians that can fix it. How long a...
