I need to make sure i have goaddy setup correctly.... Any tips?
I have changed the ANAME addy, but not any of the other records (CNAME?).
Didnt think it was needed, but hey ... like i said, i winged it...
Might it be the virtual domain that i am running on apache?

I will look at the control panel on Godaddy ... didnt spend much time configuring the host information there (just winged it to see if i can get the damn thing running).

Hosting own server
Hey guys, I recently started hosting a site on my line at home. Its just a basic www site without too much bells & whistles (ie: traffic usage is minimal to keep speed up). The site works like a charm, but for some unknown reason only Aussie internet users can access it. I have had a few internation...

Re: "Negativity/"Sh**storm" On 'Whirlpool'
Look i don't want to sound mis-informed, but is all this about the $3 admin charge? (I mean, what stemmed the whole Wh0relpool fiasco? If that is indeed the case i honestly think people should move along if they are not happy with an increase that costs less than a bottle of coke at your nearest col...

Domain Bought. What next?
Hey guys, I bought a .com.au domain via exetel yesterday. After buying it I was hoping to get a management interface somewhere so that i can setup the dns records etc, but i cannot locate anything like that anywhere? I have emailed hosting@exetel and they told me that i need to submit my requests to...

Re: New user. Slow Speeds
I'm a very happy camper this morning :) Downloaded a free game thins morning (War Rock? i think). Was a 560MB download and it downloaded in about 10 mins. Speed was sitting at 1.7MByte's/s at some points. Not 100% sure what that equates to but its more than reasonable for me! Just on a side note: (i...

Re: New user. Slow Speeds
Otherwise, since you are syncing high it indicates your line is good and since you can achieve > 1.5Mbps there may not be much Exetel can do. I would still suggest you email residentialsupport@exetel.com.au with your service number and a link to this thread as your intermittent speeds that are lowe...

Re: New user. Slow Speeds
Clearly a 7Mbps speedtest is reasonable. However, I can understand that you are experiencing volatile real world download speeds as low as 100KB/s and like hsvboy11, I would suggest these are simply intermittent fluctuations, probably due to random congestion somewhere. I would suggest you keep an ...

New user. Slow Speeds
Hi there, Just got my naked dsl line connected on friday. I am having issues getting any reasonable speed out of it though. Currently on speedtest.net i get the following speeds: 745kbs Down & 625 kbps Up. I ran another test earlier this morning and i got about 7000kbs down rate. But when i tried to...
