Re: No internet except Exetel? (BNE)

That is strange, By any chance was this at the same time of the outage ? approximately 12:00am AEST. I doubt it. My problems started at 00:40 hours on April 8, 2010. That's 02:40 AEST. All I could really do was get onto the Exetel website, and when I browsed "Network Status" there was no mention of...

Re: No internet except Exetel? (BNE)

Finally went back to "server assigned DNS" Noticed that "Default Gateway" and "Primary DNS" is somewhat different to what I remember. Default Gateway = 58.96.1.205 Primary DNS = 58.96.1.226 Secondary DNS = 220.233.0.3 I have stored in my ATA the old Primary and Secondary DNS that were issued previou...

Re: No internet except Exetel? (BNE)

Spoke too soon. Google's public DNS servers did not work for me ... properly. Tried to watch youtube and it failed loading past about 30 seconds into the video. Tried calling my VoIP number - failed - still connected and ATA reported "registered". Retested and performed modem diagnostics, and failed...

Re: No internet except Exetel? (BNE)

hi all, we had the same problem here on the sunshine coast. changed DNS Server address in modem to google: IP Address: 8.8.8.8 & Server: 8.8.4.4 & Domain Name: exetel.com.au all works fine now. Thanks, what a lifesaver! I'm on Naked ADSL2+ and obviously run VoIP here. Had the problem of no internet...

Re: Non-stop repeating slow speed problems

Just wanted to say that since the recent IP change, web browsing speeds have been significantly increased without too much variation during peak times. Thanks exetel! Also noting that the recent IP change was not asked for. Maybe to do with some hardware/exchange upgrades? Not sure if it's related, ...

Re: Can't login to member's facilities!

Try using phone number for username, instead of phone_number@sa.exetel.com.au Thanks, it now works....logging into member facilities. I thought it was just a network thing, then I started to worry in case my modem disconnected, would I be able to reconnect?...using the number@wa.exetel.com.au and I...

Re: Forwarding incoming calls

So if I understand correctly, both of you are diverting incoming calls to your Exetel DID via your own hardware/software ? Ah, I see ... using the sip address when diverting. This is free then? Whereas the exetel feature when we log in to manage our accounts, is a paid service - ie. Every call that ...

Re: Forwarding incoming calls

Bummer, I just tried the Call Forward function just now with Exetel again.

It's acting as

1. Always forward no matter what!

Guess they didn't do anything for the other option/s.

Taking my call forward off again, now.

Re: Forwarding incoming calls

This could be my fault, sorry guys. I was told (I got a phone call from support telling me that) the "Call Forward" feature would only divert if registration failed. I tested it out, and it did not work that way for me. My ATA was registered to (number version of) sip1.exetel.com.au just fine and al...

Re: VOIP Charges?

I'm surprised a staff member hasn't answered your query yet. I'm assuming your plan had the 100 calls included when you signed up. I'm on NONPHONE-A and I have it included. From memory, support told me I had to sign up for a voip number first. Then I had to email voip@exetel.com.au letting them know...

Re: Naked Speeds unusually slow - Perth

Maybe all of WA is affected - at the very least we have 3 exchanges in the Perth Metropolitan area affected. Canning Vale starts to slow down around 7pm AEST through to midnight AEST. Much wider window compared to Wembley. I thought it may have been all these new estates being built in Canning Vale,...

Which exchange?

Canning Vale is admittedly having congestion problems in the evenings.

Re: Non-stop repeating slow speed problems

I do Believe i'm having some similar problems but my wireless has been working fine untill 2 days ago. current stats are as follows: Speed Test on Exetel Server: Your current bandwidth reading is: 1.54 Mbps This seems a little strange if you ask me especially. But these actual speeds I am getting a...

Re: ADSL2+ appropriate speed?

I just noticed that some of those DSL transmit power figures have really changed. Downstream down to 0db. I also forgot to mention, I found this in another thread Have same problem here as well. My congestion at my exchange (Canning Vale, Perth) can be experienced from around 5pm-12am everyday. Afte...

Wow, that's way too advanced (and probably too pricey) for us average householders.

I'm sure with your gear and know-how you could achieve the "VoIP Going Straight to Voicemail w/o Ringing" also.
