Re: Sending SMS

Using the above mentioned variables this new one gives you a drop down box menu. I've taken it one step further and added a bunch of javascript niceties, as well as use of an iframe for the submit, so you don't have to navigate away from the page. You have to paste this into something like "sendsms...

Re: HSPA FAQ

Hiya Can someone please help me. I would like to get the HSPA M1 service originally to use in a E169, will this sim work ok? Then in 2mths time I will probably upgrade to a new iPhone (when they're released if the rumours are true), so I'm wondering can I port my mobile # to this service then at th...

Re: HSPA VoIP Performance

Again, any ideas to improve (apart for waiting for more towers..) are most appreciated as even in the Newcastle/Maitland city, quality was not acceptable. For what it's worth, I'm in Newcastle too and find the VOIP over 3G quality to be bad with whatever software I try (fring, nimbuzz, S60 internal...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Found that exevoip will register again correctly after closing it, opening it again and hitting 'done' on the settings screen. Tried some SIP calls over HSDPA this evening, they are really no good on my congested tower... I wasn't really expecting a magic bullet but I thought I'd give it a try anyway.

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

My exevoip app won't register now. I can register fine in Nimbuzz though (not at the same time of course). Nokia N78

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Suggestions: 1) Try and use the phone's ring tone. E.g. if we have the phone set to be silent, be silent. If we have it set to vibrate only, vibrate only. Otherwise if we can change the ring tone somehow so it's not as loud as it currently is, that'd be good. 2) When hitting the 'red button' the who...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement

Great news Exetel. Can I add my biggest gripe with Fring/Nimbuzz/Exetel's SIP server? It's that it won't accept the +symbol for international calls... i.e. +61422**** etc Jared acknowledged this issue http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=28902#p222846 but advised it will take some time t...

Re: ExeSMS application for Mobiles

I don't really like the new version of this app... the contact list is now unsorted for me on my Nokia N78, and the text in the list is too big (only see 4 contacts at once). It makes it virtually impossible to find the contact I want to send it to, so I'm not using the app any more. :/ Also, I'm ge...

Re: HSPA mobile telephone service

2/ Also what are rates of Video-Calls via normal mobile 2, check how much data you use for this This is usually charged via per minute rates for mobile phones - thus data quantity doesn't apply - unless there is another way of making a video call via HSPA!? Hence my question about a VoIP ap that mi...

Re: Voicemail email to multiple addresses?

Yeah i have tried the filtering and forwarding with gmail, but the sms.exemail.com.au server won't accept the emails because the TO field isn't the right value. Probably some security thing for spam protection, as I can understand.

*sigh*

Voicemail email to multiple addresses?

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if this is possible... I want to forward the voicemail to my gmail as well as an @sms.exemail.com.au address.

Re: Nimbuzz VoIP over HSPA/mobile

praetor wrote:ive been having problems in that Nimbuzz kept saying it doesnt recognize my voip number..... anyone have a similar issue?
The phone number you enter into Nimbuzz should be your mobile number (e.g. 61 401 234 567). The SIP settings number should be your VOIP number (e.g. 02 9123 4567).

Re: HSPA VoIP Performance

I've tried fring over 3g and wifi (exetel adsl2) and for both I find its latency to be unacceptable. The overseas routing really does kill it in my opinion. I've tried using Nimbuzz as well... it works decently over wifi (exetel adsl2) but the latency over 3g is really not good, especially if you ar...
