Re: Possible Vic issues?
Same here. Some sites are extremely slow, others won't load at all. Have tried a few different sites, both Australian and overseas.

ADSL2+ (TCV20-200): Modem settings: PPPoE or PPPoA?
Hi everyone I received confirmation from Exetel today that my service has just been successfully changed from ADSL1 to ADSL2+ (TCV20-200 plan). My modem still appears to be syncing at ADSL1 speed at the moment... but I see from other threads on this forum that the speed change might take a few days ...

Re: Exetel MoIP
Downloaded MOIP today and installed on Nokia 6121 classic. Results so far: "Not registered" message is always displayed. Call to my other Exetel voip number using the area code prefix: the call rings on the destination phone and appears to connect, but neither party can hear the other. Call to my ot...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
Is it the party listening on HSPA that can hear ok (perhaps with a bit of lag), the party at the other end hears nothing, or just gets fragments after a huge lag (5 to 10 seconds or more)? That pretty much exactly describes my experience. I can hear them fine on my HSPA handset, while they can hard...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
Personally I have had no joy whatsoever with ExeVoIP so far. (It's pretty much unusable for me, as inevitably only one party can hear the conversation properly.) So I was actually thinking of registering for fring/nimbuzz. But what do you think, people -- am I likely to be just as disappointed with ...

Re: Possible Change To Off Peak Period
Hi Thanks for the chance to provide input. (One of the things that makes Exetel such a good choice!) On balance, I think I am opposed to the proposed change... basically for the same reason as Kheng just mentioned: ... when I want to download something large (P2P, FTP, HTTP), I will typically stay u...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
makes my 6121c run hot & extremely high battery use Same here on my 6121c (tried it out for the first time tonight). My ear feels very warm indeed! I think the battery use issue is a potential show-stopper for me, as it renders the application impractical for real-world use (unless I keep m...

Re: Fring/NimBuzz Replacement
Hi Everyone OK... how/where can I get hold of this wonderful app you are all talking about? (I admit, I have not looked through every page of this thread, just two or three . Would it be possible to edit the first post with a link to the app, or instructions on how to obtain it?) EDIT: OK, I f...
