Re: Using Exetel VOIP overseas

Cheers for the responses :) I was just checking if there was a switch that needed to be flicked (potentially to stop the overseas SIP spammers) or not Sounds like I'm right to go tho! I'll install a SoftPhone on the laptop just in case. If neither work, Wont be too much of a loss, I can still email :)

Re: Not recieving SMS's from Three on HSPA plan

if it's a new number it shouldn't be an issue, ported numbers can sometimes cause issue if the routes are not setup correctly (an oversimplification but basically that's it) Thats pretty much what i was thinking being a new number you would need your friend on 3 to report the fault with 3 and they ...

Re: MMS using a hspa sim with the M1 mobile plan.

Whats most annoying about this, Is someone sent me a MMS... I'm on a HSPA M1 - HA plan right now... So, Every 2 hours, My phone pops up "New Multimedia Message Available! Disconnect Data sessions to recieve?" ..Of course, It just sits there, and never recieves anything.. Pain in the bum.. Sending MM...

Brilliant, Thanks JamesR, fixed it for me too, ExeSMS would run, It'd just not be able to send sms's... and pop up that missing file error.

Re: 2.7gb wasted

So by the sound of it, You changed to the 2-2 offpeak time? And expected to keep that offpeak period even though they've moved all the 12-12'ers to the 2-12? Well.. I'm pretty sure you're right, you're supposed to keep it, but looking at a few threads here, The data in the 12-1 or 12-2 periods seem ...

Re: Incorrect Peak Usage

Hm.. Yes, I think those of us with 1-1 or 2-2 offpeak times are having data off-peak data in the 12-1 or 12-2 period counted as peak data..
It'd certainly explain why i've used ~1.5GB of peak data the last 2 days.. Usually its more like 2-500MB..

Re: Pensioner Broadband Plans?

From what i've seen, Quite a lot of "Pensioners" are actually -wanting- to try new technology, Voip is a great benefit to them (Assuming the plan speed is fast enough) - A lot of their family will live interstate, and they like to learn new things.. however, You'd have to ask which group of pensione...

Re: When will line rental change to exetel?

Er, If he's on pair gain, He cant get ADSL1 to start with! However, If by that, you mean you're behind a RIM, and thats why you cant get ADSL2+.. Then yes, your application will fail.. (I wonder if that was taken into account with the 15,000 ADSL1 users not on ADSL2.. http://johnl.blogs.exetel.com.a...
