Problem solved! An email to Exetel support had the issue solved within a few hours.
Obviously not a problem with the Dynalink modem. Must still be a few gremlins in the sysytem!
As always great service from Exetel.

Thanks for your advice. I have turned the modem off and rebooted, but that makes no difference.
I will contact Exetel.

I seem to have the latest firmware 3.64Y and have not made any changes to the modem setup for over 12 months. Had lots of problems with the Dynalink RTA1046VW when it first came out, but of late it has been working fine. If there is no solution to the problem and it is modem specific, can anyone sug...

I am having this problem. Started only about two weeks ago. I use Dynalink RTA1046vw and firmware 3.64y.
VOIP has been performing well for a long time.
I get one quick half ring at the start and then nothing. If I hang on the party being called usually answers.
Any ideas to overcome this???

Have had a quick look at the new user facilities site. I rather like it!
The colour scheme is nice and information is grouped to help in navigation.
I think I prefer it to the exisiting site.

Exetel I think your timing in managing this price change leaves a lot to be desired. It would have been better to update your ADSL plan pricing the day before emailing old customers about the $5 increase. Many like myself considered our future options after receiving the email, only to find 24 hours...

I previous comments to date, including my own, on the $5 increase are now academic considering Exetel has raised the price of all its ADSL plans. I too have received the email about a $5 increase in plan. I cannot see the logic in this change. My current plan (TELH) ADSL1 $40 - 1500/256 6GB/54GB ... I could change to TLC1 $45 - 1500/256 12GB/Unlimited or NF/1500 $40 - 1500/256 6GB/12GB. A change up to a new plan gives me more download for my ...
