Re: IPod Touch outgoing email failure to connect
John - Albeit a year late, I may as well post for the sake of others; Your problem with sending is simply because you have stated your username and password. For outgoing mail, exetel does NOT use authentication. Putting your name and password in here leads to a fail. Cheers, -Luke Hi Luke - more t...

Re: MoIP + SMS over IP...Finally Released
I think having a second account would probably be a lot simpler, you could always forward your calls and on net calls have no cost Forwarding my calls is actually the major issue - the only way I've been able to successfully do that recently is by disabling the ATA... (I used to be able to forward ...

Re: MoIP + SMS over IP...Finally Released
On a related issue (which is now probably in the wrong forum) - I've had difficulties disabling the home ATA in the past - I've done it through deliberately choosing an incorrect VOIP setting on the modem/router... Is that what I'm supposed to do or is there another way? Assuming that you are using...

Re: MoIP + SMS over IP...Finally Released
You can use 2 VoIP devices on the same VoIP account, but it presents a difficulty - there are two IP addresses, and the last one to have registered at any time will get the incoming phone call ring. Who can tell which? This is easily fixed if you are travelling, as you can temporarily disable the h...

Re: MoIP + SMS over IP...Finally Released
I'm sorry if this question has already been answered or if I haven't used technically correct language. Can someone please give me some basic information about MOIP, taking my current situation into consideration? My ISP for my home-based business is exetel (current plan is OCV200). I have an exetel...

Re: Call Forwarding - not working
Call forwarding is not working for me at the moment. When I dial 0111x or 0112x (with x being my mobile phone number), I get an engaged signal. When I test, the call forward is not activated. I would also note that until a few months ago, I needed to activate call forwarding through changing the set...

Re: Change plan; keep 100 free VOIP calls?
I have a related question - if you change from one exetel Naked plan with a DID number to another exetel Naked plan, do you get to keep the same DID number?

Re: how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone
Modem, router, ata (analog telephone adapter) can all be in the same box or come as separate units. You seem to have the all-in-one type. Yes - the Dynalink RTA1046VW does all those things. Once home, I went into the Dynalink settings, disabled the "voice" function and call forward is now working! ...

Re: how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone
Log into the box you connect your phone to, go to the voip or voice section and remove your phone number and password, then restart or save. Thank you Mandella!!! So the ATA is the modem/router then? In other words, I should have done it when I was still at home... oh well. I'll post back here to a...

Re: how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone
Thanks Mandella and Gidget. It appears that I was doing two things incorrectly: Mistake 1: As Gidget suggested, I had mis-read the "change voip" page - I thought the box I was entering in was the "call forward" one but it was in fact the "voicemail" one. Mistake 2: Mandella said that I need to "de-r...

how do I call forward my home VOIP number to my mobile phone
Hi everyone I hope someone can help me. At home, I'm using VOIP with an exetel Naked service. My modem is a Dynalink RTA1046VW. I've got a phone with answering machine plugged into the modem. I'm currently away from home for a few days. I want to call forward my VOIP number to my mobile phone. Yeste...

Thanks Cuong for the quick reply. To the others reading this thread - it was Cuong who replied to my email to residentialsales - so no need for me to post the reply here as Cuong has already done so! We'll have me added as an authorised administrator on my partner's Telstra account and then I'll be ...
