Re: Exetel MoIP

If SmartConnect is available from Ovi for your Nokia phone, I strongly recommend installing it. You then set up an access point "group" within the application, and add the phone's access points that you wish it to use. Setting WLAN first and Exetel HSPA second will have the applications set to use t...

Re: Exetel MoIP

Let us know the results I did as suggested the other day and when idle for 3 hours after making a call, used only .1 of a MB down and .11 of an MB up so issue did not repeat. However I did remove a couple of apps from the phone before I tried. One of which Fring was starting up automatically... Tha...

Re: Exetel MoIP

I would look further for the cause of a 92Mb transfer... Other observations: - Calls don't appear to self-terminate when other end hangs up (unless I didn't wait long enough), potentially wasting VoIP resources for the VSP. I have noticed this as well, wonder if this is connected in some way As I h...

Re: Exetel MoIP

Re DATA consumption: my log subsequently showed a 16.25 hour continuous connection with total upload of 1.8 mb and download of 1.4 mb. This would have included some browsing as well as LAN activity (SMB), but equates to total average upload of 115kb/hr over that period. This seems within expectation...

Re: Exetel MoIP

Phone: Nokia E51 / S60 3rd Edition FP1 Initial tests (VoIP and SMS) are very positive on this E51, with VoIP registration and call progress fast and efficient, and likewise with SMS transmission. Call quality on a call from the E51 to my home landline was excellent on the mobile itself (fidelity and...

Re: Exetel MoIP

My guess is that there are enough beta testers out there providing headaches without others. I have been a tester and have returned to the ExeVoip application. I think the ExeMoip app has a long way to go :( Knowledge that a limited beta-testing program was in place certainly would have helped, but...

Re: Exetel MoIP

...I sent my request for this program twice but haven't had a reply so far. Is there any other way that I can get this application? I have submitted the application form three times over the past month or so (the form itself doesn't confirm in a standard way that it even submitted correctly, it sim...

Re: Set up info on Voip/fring via Mobile/HSPA

Most VSP's do not provide for multiple concurrent connections (registrations) to the same account (not sure about Exetel specifically), so the device that receives incoming calls is the last one registered. If you want to be able to target different destination devices, you need to use services such...

Re: New HSPA Service Activation

Thanks for the quick response...tomorrow afternoon it'll have to be.

After waiting from Thursday until today (the time AAE took to deliver!), I was hoping the rest would go smoothly. Must've jinxed it

Cheers!

New HSPA Service Activation

Hi Folks, I seem to be in a bit of a pickle with activating my new HSPA M1-HA service and would appreciate some advice. In a nutshell, activation appears to have stalled (approx 5 hours in "pending" so far). While setting up various configuration options in my E51, I inadvertently (understatement :r...
