Re: ACT outage, why?

James, that might be the case with regards to the backhaul but it's a transmission card issue, could you shed any light on that. And could you please light a fire under someone on the supplier end to start giving your call centre (and forum team) ETA on repair work. My stance would be if I drop my c...

Re: Telstra shafting us (help me, help us)

Yeah I've seen that, and my dslam is definitely not listed (oddly nothing connected to me exchange is either)

I'm just super pissed Telstra customers get what I had, but can't have anymore (even if I switched to those heathens)

Re: Telstra shafting us (help me, help us)

I've got a response (that I don't like naturally) and that is that no ETA is ever given. I find that Exetel are doing their best, but I find it hard to believe that multi billion dollar telecommunications 'leader' Telstra has no upgrade path plans they're willing to share (or acknowledge that they e...

Re: Telstra shafting us (help me, help us)

Doesn't that constitute anti competitive behavior ?

Also, why when I ring Bigpond pretending to switch over they wont offer me full speed ?

The only reason I can't take this further is because ACCC and fair trading both said Exetel has to do it

Telstra shafting us (help me, help us)

Guys, I've raised this as a support ticket and it went quiet, so I am hear to try and solve this issue. I'm on a rim that's been capped @ 320k/s (max obviously some lines will be slower) I have 8mbit, service was perfect for 3 months, then TELSTRA capped the rim. I dropped from 700k/s to 320k/s This...

Re: New ADSL1 Plans

I hope this is taken in the spirit it's intended in. I'm on 8mbit, and I think it's excellent. My speed was halved from 700k/s to 330k/s by Team Telstra Tightass brigade. First, call Exetel, can you guys do anything about it ? no because Telstra snakes have put a clause in wholesaling that only requ...

Re: New ADSL Plans For July 1st 2009

I am a bit concerned over a free period 3-11am might be a bit of a worry, how much can you download in a 'free' period on a faster plan (adsl2 or 8mbit) I can grab about 8-10 gig in 8 hours (which is 250 gig a month) or 2.5x my current allowance. I can see this creating some interesting bandwidth st...
