Re: New Pricing

Very disappointing response from Exetel.

Summary is new pricing isn't being offered to all existing customers despite NBN wholesale prices decreasing for all connections.

Very poor form and will be moving to a different provider and stop recommending Exetel as a provider going forward.

New Pricing

I am currently paying $69.99 for 50/20 500Gb but I notice on the main page that this now costs $59.99 off-contract or $54.99 on-contract. I also notice that 100/40 plans are now also available for my address. On myexetel page neither the new pricing or the faster plans are available. My original con...

Re: SNR Question

Thanks Kavinda, received the call today. It's good to know that 100/40 is available on FTTN just have to call and request it. At $79.99 for 500Gb it's quite competitively priced too :-)

Do you mean that there is a possibility of requesting 100/40 even if it isn't listed as an option in myexetel? Thanks

SNR Question

I am connected to NBN FTTN and am currently on the 25/5 plan and am very happy with the performance and stability. In my router it says my maximum line rate is 78056 kbps down / 39346 kbps up. My SNR is 27.3 dB down / 19.6 dB up and attenuation is 13.1db down / 23.6db up. From my reading, VDSL2 perf...

Call Forward then divert to Voicemail

I currently have set in my online Exetel VoIP Configuration page to forward all calls to a mobile number. I have the destination SIM in a phone dialler that I have set up to replace my POTS service since moving to the NBN. This works well but I would like to have the call divereted to Exetel voicema...

Changing from ADSL TO NBN not available in myexetel

I recently migrated my dad from Exetel ADSL to Extel NBN. It was a painless process using his myexetel page and he was offered the NBN modem for free. NBN has become available in my house this month. When I check my address on Exetel's checker it says it is available but I don't have the same option...

Re: Poor Sync Speeds since 6/3 - Naked ADSL2+ Gosford Exchange

All fixed, and in less than 48 hours after I requested for the issue to be referred to Optus for investigation!
Awesome work, I thought my previous ADSL2+ provider was great but Exetel puts them to shame :D Special thanks to Steve J

Thanks again!

Re: Poor Sync Speeds since 6/3 - Naked ADSL2+ Gosford Exchange

I also notice that my line no longer has any dial tone when I plug a telephone into it, which it did (engaged sound) when I last plugged one in a month ago soon after my connection was established. I have heard rumours that Optus DSLAMs provide a dial tone and voltage even over a naked connection so...

Re: Poor Sync Speeds since 6/3 - Naked ADSL2+ Gosford Exchange

Other than that, I can't really comment definitively on whether a fault will be located and whether you get charged. But if I were in your position, I'd book the technician and have a high degree of confidence in them locating a fault. Thanks for the vote of confidence...the connection seems to hav...

Re: Poor Sync Speeds since 6/3 - Naked ADSL2+ Gosford Exchange

If not, I guess I will have to lodge a ticket. I'd suggest you log a ticket, especially for such a dramatic sync speed drop I have lodged a ticket and myself and Exetel have done the usual steps to exclude simple faults: - line isolation - different modem / different cabling - reset port I am up to...

Poor Sync Speeds since 6/3 - Naked ADSL2+ Gosford Exchange

Hey Guys, I have been connected with Exetel since early January on a Naked ADSL2+ plan and have had no problems until now. I usually sync at around 12/1 Mbs and go weeks without a dropout. Haven't changed any equipment since I have established my connection. Since 06/03/2009 I have been getting pret...

Re: Trying out HSPA M1 with Mobile Plan Type HA - questions

I am also interested in knowing the answer to this. I have called exetel twice now and have been told both yes and no in relation to delayed number porting.
