Mobile useage and caps

I'm looking at porting over a vodafone mobile to Exetel, and take advantage of the discount as we already have ADSL and HSPA. I've never used a post-paid cap, so I don't really understand how it works. If you go over your cap what happens? Do you start getting charged extra at whatever the phone cal...

Re: Exetel MOIP and International rates

Ok thanks for that. It wasn't really clear on the exetel page that the rates were the published voip and international sms rates available through phone/computer. It read a bit like it had separate pricing but with no detail. Sadly the international sms has very little coverage to S E Asia so isn't ...

Re: Exetel MOIP and International rates

Thanks for that. Any idea where specifically I can get info on the international SMS, rate & availability. Can't find any mention of it anywhere

Exetel MOIP and International rates

I'm looking at Exetel Moip. On this page http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-mobile-moip-overview.php it only gives Australian call rates. Can anyone direct me to where the international call rates are, including international text? Can you do an international text using MOIP or is it only for voic...

Transferring ADSL2, technician attendance?

Just curious and wondering if anyone can explain. When "transferring" an ADSL2 service from one address to another (which is officially not a transfer it is a disconnect and new service where you might be able to keep your old account), you need to be in attendance on the day so a technician can acc...

Re: Relocating

Ok, I checked white pages for the phone number of the ex-residents at my new address and started up an application for a new service so I could check availability. It seems that ADSL2+ is available, but the exchange is at capacity. Is there any way of finding out if I have any chance of getting ADSL...

Re: Relocating

OK thanks. I just tried to do the relocate. I previously checked a phone number from the area and it came up as ADSL2+ available. But when I tried to do the relocate it says that ADSL2+ is not available for my new address  I thought about downgrading to ADSL1 but don't seem to have that option....

Re: Relocating

Thanks for the reply. It is not clear to me what happens with the VOIP, I dont' think I can take the same number as it is a different area and exchange. Anyone know? i.e. I have ADSL2+ naked + voip with phone number at old address. I want exactly the same at the new address. Do Exetel give me a phon...

Re: Relocating

Do I have to pre-arrange a telstra line at the new address so I can 'relocate' the service? I am on ADSL2 + VOIP. Does the ADSL2+ service include a bundled PSTN service (optus ADSL2+), is it naked (optus ADSL2+) or did you BYO your own PSTN service (AAPT ADSL2+)? It is naked ADSL2+ and I use VOIP t...

Relocating

I'm confused. I read that you can't relocate an ADSL service you can only disconnect and reapply. But then I also see you CAN relocate, of a sort. Unfortunately I have to move and am still within the 12 month contract period, so I understand I'm up for the $100 "cancellation" fee. What I don't get i...

VOIP local calls charged as international

All my local calls for June are being charged as international calls. I'm in Perth, calling other local perth numbers and it is getting logged as Afganistan, USA, Sri Lanka etc. The call number is showing correctly. The charges are sky high. Mobile calls seem to be correct, although I haven't checke...

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)

No thanks, I'm more than happy with my naked DSL account for $40 per month including 5 GB of data and free voip number. Maybe review when I'm out of contract on this one as that deal is no longer available, but I would probably not want to move away from naked DSL.
