Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Will the PTSN transfer be available to Exetel HSPA customers at any time in the near future? - Not at this stage, and unless advised otherwise is unlikely as the different carriers people use, as well as any additional services they may have on their telephone line would also be completely gone as ...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

I am also impatiently waiting on word of porting a Telstra number (on the Sunshine Coast of QLD) to a HSPA based VoIP service. Question - If I take a Brisbane DID now, can I change it to a Sunshine Coast DID when they are available, or can I port my Telstra number to be my VoIP number later (replaci...

Very tempting, Dazzled, but I am a lazy B and I want my Linux install to automatically transfer and convert for me. When some boffin creates a way of doing that, Ubuntu will take over the world...

Re: virus

The killer app that will WIN users over to Linux is one that seamlessly and automatically copies/converts your Windows files to Linux (email, contacts, games, music, video, photos, favourites, Roboform, etc) and creates a virtual environment for the many Windows-only programs. When someone shows me ...

Re: A Glimpse Of The Future?

Exetel could provide something similar with an expansion of the new VOIP call forward feature. Mynetfone already do this. They call it Follow Me. Here are the options: Follow Me: Ring Sequence: Sequential, Simultaneous All of the numbers in the Follow Me list will ring simultaneously, the first to a...

Re: VOIP call forwarding

It works for me now. All good! Thank you!!!

I called my DID while connected to HSPA and again while disconnected and it forwarded correctly to a normal Telstra landline both times.

I hope some of the features mentioned earlier can now be added. But don't break it!

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

Kevin can you tell me anymore about the minimal dial plan? See Appendix A at http://www.jmgtechnology.com.au/spa_3102_guide.pdf for general info on dial plans. The one I used is supposed to allow calls to all AUS numbers, 02 up. I had presumed I did not need a plan but it was the only way I could g...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

FWIW, I have a 3102 and could not dial out until I added a dial plan. I got a constant dial tone and an immediate long beep-beep after dialling. Sounded a bit like an engaged signal but I think it meant that the call had failed. I added a minimal dial plan "(0[2-9]xxxxxxxxS0)" on the Line 1 page of ...

GSM and 3G mobile phone services

I have an original i-mate GSM phone with a 0419 telstra number that I have ported to Exetel/Vodafone. WARNING: Dumb Question Follows: When I buy a new phone it will be HSDPA 900/2100 capable. Will my existing SIM and number work in that phone and give me 3G/HSPA connectivity? If not, do I need a dif...
