Re: Termination of service

yeah usage can't be the issue here. I was on a 75 peak, unlimited off-peak and used almost 75Gb and 150ish per month. That is LESS than the 300Gb plan for the same money I was paying.

Re: Termination of service

Ah. I got this on the 10th also, and just got off the phone to the lovely off-shore support and it was a similar story. They couldn't give me an explanation beyond repeating almost word-for-word what was in the email and pretty much telling me I had to find another provider. I asked for a manager or...

Re: iiQuota and data usage metre

I found this post while Googling for the answer, thought i'd update the post. When I select Exetel HSPA, it won't log in. When I select Exetel ADSL/HSPA, it works fine. I also use Exetel ADSL for my internet component. Information correct as of Version 14 of Quota, so they must have updated the data...

Re: SORBS netblock active against 220.233.175.0/24

Strangely enough, one of the test emails I sent to myself at 3.50pm arrived at 7.29PM. So perhaps I *am* receiving email... just very slowly?

I am unable to send to optus without a failure message... which is possibly them using SORBS.

PM is on its way! Thanks!

Re: SORBS netblock active against 220.233.175.0/24

Nah.. that was the first thing I checked when I sent mail this morning and had it bounce back at me. I get my little MS message telling me all is well. Router config hasn't changed, and my nat entries are all there. I also checked that from another ISP. (blank screen, no rejection) And as I said ear...

Re: SORBS netblock active against 220.233.175.0/24

Interesting.. I just tried sending mail to another domain that I have hosted somewhere in the States... and it sent just fine... then I logged onto the webmail over there, and sent one back... guess what...? it never arrived. I have tried sending from Optus cable webmail and Hotmail... both of those...

Re: SORBS netblock active against 220.233.175.0/24

Exetel doesn't use SORBS - so that's not the cause, chances are many other mail servers you are communicating with are using SORBS, and you aren't using our mail server to send the messages, in which case, you should configure your mail server and connection to suit the SORBS blacklist. I was think...

Re: SORBS netblock active against 220.233.175.0/24

Personally, I think they are correct in blocking the Exetel IP range, even though they are static IPs I'm not paying for censorship though... I want a connection to the internet to do with as I see fit. If Exetel didn't configure any servers for the use of this service, how on earth is it jumping i...

Re: IP no longer reachable while being shaped?

Thanks very much for the quick responses. This clears a lot up! I thought the peak and off-peak would be seperate, as it turned out to be. I used to be with Optus cable, and if you hit either cap they shaped you for the rest of the billing period. (one of the few reasons I moved away from them after...

Re: IP no longer reachable while being shaped?

Ah! Nice one. I went home during my lunch break and found exactly that. My router didn't have any line protocol, but a quick shut and unshut resolved that. Interestingly, i'm applicable for 54Gb off-peak (from memory and the usage graph). The blocked page said that i'd used 2gb over that allowance, ...

IP no longer reachable while being shaped?

So i've tried to access my router from several external connections... I know I hit my off-peak cap some time last night, and I was fine with that... but is there any reason why my IP is unreachable now that it is after 12pm (peak time)? I tried to view my IP in the control panel, but it's telling m...

Re: Does administrative charge apply?

Ohhhh... that clears things up. I guess I was a bit disappointed to find out that by moving next week, that i'd be paying $40 to stay with Exetel, and that I would be forced into another 12 month contract on the new plans... with the new closest equivalent plan being $5 more per month, and with less...

Re: Possible Change To Off Peak Period

That's really eating into the peak times of the day... I notice a great reduction in speed during off-peak times, but since i'm in bed and asleep it doesn't affect me. If it were to move to 2pm, I can imagine that it would be slow most of the day (up to 2pm). I would have suggested 10pm to 10am inst...
