Now I see that I have been significantly over charged for last months bill (the incorrect placement of usage put me in excess, but not to the extent of the over charge).
Very irritating exetel.

5 gigs of usage with modem off?
Just connected on today's peak (12pm-12am) 31/01/11 and see that today's peak usage is almost 5gigs, no one else in the house has used the net today and both modems have been powered off all day. How did 5gigs magically appear on my "usage" meter when my connection was not in use?? Edit: The only re...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges
Just received this devastating news! "It seems that you're currently not serviceable for the Telstra ADSL2+ service as your exchange capacity has reached its' maximum and there are no vacant ports available presently at your local exchange." I guess this means the adsl1 port I occupy can't be just u...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges
Ok, so did everyone changing from adsl1 pay the $75 're-location' fee? Seems strange that its not mentioned in any recent posts.......?

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges
A few of the details on the 'change over' page are a little confusing, I'm on telstra hardware so the "12 month contract period on the AAPT Based plan" isn't relevant to my change right? The change from telstra adsl1 to adsl2 only constitutes the $10 speed change fee so why does the 'agreement' at t...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges
I'm on an Exetel adsl1 plan but rent my phone line from telstra, when applying for an adsl 2 upgrade do I select;
ADSL2 (With Telephone)
"Naked" ADSL2
or
ADSL2 (No Telephone)
This feels like a noob question so I apologize in advance

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges
Very interested in upgrading from 8mb adsl1 to adsl2 however, my adsl speed seems to be capped at 6mbs. Is there any way of knowing that the adsl2 speed wont be burdened by the same artificial cap?

Re: Issues with NSW ADSL1?!?
James this is a support forum so why can't I ask for support here? If I though logging a ticket would make the bandwidth magically re-appear I would have done so from the start. 5 minuets left on peak and exetel have ruined my connection for the next 10 hours (correct me if there is some one else to...

Re: Issues with NSW ADSL1?!?
This needs a response from an exetel official other wise we have no option to believe that outrageous shaping restrictions were unethically utilized during this mornings 2am-12pm peak period. 15-20kbps is not only unethical its down right offensive, 10hours of barely usable internet and no explanati...

Re: Shaping on Port 80?
Credit where its due, off peak has been rolling along smoothly at 600kbs. Guess peak is tightly controlled to protect performance, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.....

Shaping on Port 80?
I'm getting speeds of 60-70kbps from my server, this time last week I was getting 600kbps. Why are my speeds below the 1.5mb minimum? The log from my download manager looks like the traffic is being crunched and throttled. There is no shortage of recent speed complaints on the forums, are there any ...

Re: slow speed and ping on 8Mb anyone else?
I've only noticed issues within the last couple of days, I'm perma-capped at 6mb (another story altogether) but I usually hit those speeds when downloading from my server on port 80. Right now I'm getting 60-70kbps which is below 1.5mbs and unacceptable on an 8mb plan, its either severe congestion, ...

Re: No Charge - Uncharged - No Limit - Unlimited
I also switched to an unlimited 8mb plan which is still showing at 86gig offpeak limit (which I'll be unlikely to exceed anyway) but I guess I'm waiting on the limit to switch to "unlimited" also.
