Re: best option leaving during contract-add flatmate to a/c?
I have to admit i prefer to use the forum (whether to look for answers or ask questions) rather than customer support - i find them disinterested and detached compared with the care and attention paid by guys (and gals) here on the forum. It could be a corporate style thing rather than personnel/tra...

Re: best option leaving during contract-add flatmate to a/c?
Thanks StevecJ
I have received (a prompt!) response which has clarified my question.
I also suggested they include their explanation in future 'standardised response emails'.
cheers

Re: best option leaving during contract-add flatmate to a/c?
I just received a response (6 days later!) and it seems to be that in addition to a $25 transfer of ownership fee i have to pay the cancellation fee....but maybe i have misunderstood what the email means as i don't understand the phrase: 'if the copper line is being acquired'...yes we use copper wir...

best option leaving during contract-add flatmate to a/c?
I am leaving to go overseas in late Nov/Dec. I am on the OCV200 contract and started Feb this year so contract doesn't expire until end of Jan 2012. The options seem to be: a) end contract early and pay the $100 (but our cost is only $60/month (few calls made) = $120 for dec and Jan if i continue to...

Re: how to set up modem to make voip & pstn calls
Thank you Dazzled that seemed to work very easily. i checked the log on modem and it showed a PSTN call... It also seems that we can put in a lot of numbers and also any number by replacing with an 'x' so i could put in one starting for each state and territory then all local/national calls will go ...

how to set up modem to make voip & pstn calls
Hi I signed up to the new OCV plan and would like to be able to use pstn for local but voip for international. Is there a way to do this without plugging and unplugging cables - too many things can go wrong and people will not do it as it is too much bother. I recall reading (i read over 50 pages on...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
Is it possible to avoid the 12 month contract? I read something about a $40 fee as an alternative to being locked into a contract, is this correct or only for current 'in contract' customers (i am out of contract). I would like to know about this as well... I have been searching for this on all the...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
Hi I am happy to proceed with the changes (either OCV200 or OCV200/19) however I would like clarification on a few points. (Our current exetel service is: NF/22NOTEL) 1a) I am living in a unit above a shop and i believe (in the past at least) that optus would not provide services for these types of ...

Re: Off Peak Period Change
It now seems more difficult than ever to provide ADSL services to residential users. I hope this comment does not lead to you stopping your services to residential users. I for one have been happy with exetel for almost 5 years. Whilst i was not happy with the changes suggested yesterday i also kno...

Re: Off Peak Period Change
Hi Forum Admin Will those who received the original email notifying of the changes also receive this new email notifying us of the delay in implementation? I have not (so far this morning) received this additional email. i hope i am not jumping the gun here, if so apologies! I am half hoping that so...

Re: New Residential Members Facilities
It looks nice and clean. If possible could you have the cursor activated over the 'login' button when we bring up exetel. That way i can just push the enter/return key on my keyboard rather than needing to navigate with my mouse and clicking. I know that is terribly lazy ... :) If possible could you...

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)
I see from John's blog he is considering a naked plan offering now so that is good. It seems to be semi unlimited (50c/GB) with a cap eg $70 for naked and downloads beyond that are free. As many others have mentioned I think that it encourages the wrong type of users to join/abuse the service - whic...
