I got two more SMSs from SIMBackup today and yesterday. It's supposedly free until September[1] -- so after then it has the possibility to become an expensive annoyance. I have a Virgin-locked iphone and that works with Exetel. Some info though: 1. You have to switch your APN to exetel1 :: do a search on whirlpool for an iphone apn switcher 2. There is absolutely no VoIP on the iphone; except if your are near a wifi AP or you have a jailbroken iphone + a hacked copy...

Hi, I've been getting some SIMBackup SMSs - saying "There was an issue activating the SIM Backup Service". After Googling that, I learnt a few things: 1.
