Re: Off Peak Periods

You can probably extend it from 23:00 to 14:00 without change to the quota.

Clarification on Exetel Mobile Discounts

This agreement will allow Exetel to provide the recently released Optus "Follow Me" mobile plans which, when the customer also has an Exetel ADSL1 or ADSL2 plan, will provide a discount of of between $5.00 and $20.00 per service per month from the mobile plan itself plus a further $5.00 to $20.00 p...

Re: Rationale Behind Change Of Plan 'Direction'

I'm on TL-C2 which is 36GB + "unlimited" from 12pm-12am which effectively translated to around 80GB the last time I checked. I'm happy with the plan and the price and even though I don't use the 80GB overnight, it's comforting to know that it's there in case I need it. However if I want to recommend...

Iphone (locked to Telstra) Exemail Email settings?

Hi, I've just set up a friend with Exetel with no problems: Adsl and Email working fine. When I tried to set up his iPhone with an additional account using pop3.nsw.exemail.com.au - the iPhone searched and gave an option not to use ssl for the IMAP server which I okayed. After it searched again, it ...

Re: VOIP lag on outgoing calls

So just before I throw my RTA1046VW out the window, what would be the right order of things to do to solve this problem?
Update firmware?
Reset?
Anything else?
Maybe there should be a sticky about this.

Re: PIPE Network's PPC1 - October 8th 2009

From what I've read on an IT site, the additional capacity would generally drive the cost/whateverbyte down as far as wholesale pricing is concerned, whether you buy from pipe or not. Internode will be offering greater capacity but not speed at the same rate for example. In May earlier this year, Pi...

Re: Landline rental

Thanks for the reply.
I do both those already. It is sometimes much more convenient to send a fax straight from an app, rather than printing and manually sending.
I've also been using VOIP for about 9 months. I just wanted to reduce my line rental(s).

Landline rental

Currently I have 2 discrete Telstra lines, one of which is used for my Exetel adsl 1 and the other as a fax only line. I was wondering if I could migrate both line rentals to Exetel at the advertised rate of $15 per line? Or is this with adsl2+ plans only? Adsl 2 is not available at my exchange. Can...

Re: Pensioner Broadband Plans?

Well after reading through the threads so far, there's been some great and valuable comments and suggestions. I think if Exetel are serious with the 'pension' plan, then they should offer it VIA Centrelink, with those who are financially distraught/low income to Community Legal Centres, Church/Chari...

Re: Possible Change To Off Peak Period

Perhaps by allowing selectable bands from 11pm-11am and onwards in hourly jumps may suit more people, maybe as a monthly lock-in. That would certainly lower congestion periods by spreading it over 3 hrs or so.
I prefer it as it is but I'll take what's given to me.

4) PAYU per GB rates reduced in both periods
Don't understand what PAYU refers to. Is that excess charges?

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

Only been an Exetel user for a few short months but I am very happy with the service and improvements.
Thanks for the upgrades! 100 free voip calls are a bonus!
And as soon as my mobile contract is up, I'm going Exetel with that too!
