Re: Wireless Disconnecting in Other Rooms

So, I tried pinging while using the internet this morning and got a healthy response back. All was working fine for an hour, then it dropped out and I redid the ping and if failed. I disconnected and reconnected, the internet would be back up for long enough to reload a page, but would drop off agai...

Re: Wireless Disconnecting in Other Rooms

Hi Dazzled, how do I test pinging the router from the other room? (sorry, see earlier reference about not being a brilliant techie)

Does a wireless access point have to have a connection to the phone line though or do these just plug into a power socket?

Wireless Disconnecting in Other Rooms

Hi Guys, This forum has been very helpful in the past, so I'm hoping I can get a solution here again. I have Naked ASDL 2, set up with a Dynalink router/modem. The wireless works very well in the lounge where the router sits, but in bedrooms in the house I have issues where my computer drops the int...

Re: Change of Naked Plan

Thanks Klass, I had spotted that part in the menus, was more interested in how it might affect my contract/billing. My application to change plans is still pending. Re: VOIP Stuff. My original plan included 100 free VOIP calls, which was originally done away with . Now I just get charged the 10c per...

Change of Naked Plan

I'm probably a little slow on the uptake here, but could somebody confirm my understanding of how to change from an old Naked ADSL 2 plan? I am on an old plan (NAK2A) and out of contract (bascially paying $50/month for 6G peak, 60G offpeak). Am I correct in assuming I can just select change plan (to...

Re: Ethernet light not showing

Thanks again guys for your help. I followed the last set of instructions. Did a test call, seemed to removed the large delay. No paper clip required. I'll monitor further to see if it occurs again.

These forums are awesome, so many helpful people. I really appreciate it.

Re: Beta firmware for Dynalink (RTA1046VW)

Hi All, Is the link for the updated firmware linked in this post still valid as of Oct 09? I have been having lag issues on my voip, thought I had upgrade the firmware (see topic http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=33930 ), but still getting the lag. I would like to sort. My housemate is...

Re: Still have lag in Voip

Thanks for the advice, completely reset the router and upgraded firmware. Work ok now, but still have HUGE delay on calls for Voip. In fact people hang up on me because they can't hear me talking. I can hear them fine the whole.... argh! I know this is a known issue, but is there another fix? I down...

Re: Ethernet light not showing

Also, while I am asking for help, I have the wonderful lag on voip calls now. It's getting long enough that people hang up on me before they can hear me talking. Do have to download new firmware? if so, where from, or is it enough to do a factory reset by pushing the pin thingo in the back of the mo...

Ethernet light not showing

Hello All, I'm having trouble connecting a new laptop to my network(others got stolen - grrr :-( ), and I would love some help confirming if the problem is with my router or the laptop. The new laptop can see other wireless networks, but not my own. However I think it might be a problem with the dyn...

Can't connect router to Internet

I also posted this under router problems, but thought it might be better suited here as it may not be a router issue.... I'm setting up a new naked ADSL connection at my house. I'm using a Dynalink RTA1046VW router which I bought from my housemate, the router was previously used for exetel service a...
