Incoming voice chopped up on mobile calls

I have a D-link DVA-G3670B. Voip calls to landlines are fine albeit with a short delay before I can hear the person on the other end. When I call any mobile phone the incoming voice is chopped up or stutters. I have attached a link to the voip config page of my router. Can anyone help? I have tried ...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

Got the router sorted now and much to the dissapointment of outbush I'm sure, it was not the hardware. It turns out I was getting a lot of HEC Errors at my faster plan speed having churned from another ISP at 512k. A little searching by my Telstra buddy uncovered an earth fault in the pit outside my...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

It seems you have made a bad choice regarding your voip modem: Check here for comments: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1157475#r2 "Return it for a refund if you can, D-Link make crap!" (copied from Whirlpool post) Is this the post you base your comment on? I don't find it very h...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

This is giving me the $H%t$ now. Last night 4 phone calls out, 2 show up on the voip meter, 2 obviously went to pstn. Today I lift the handset and there is silence though I can dial out via voip. 30 minutes later I get a dial tone and call out via voip. When the call is answered the ringing tone doe...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

Eureeka! I think? We got a phone call a little while ago and the phone rang through the modem. The next time I tried to make a phone call through the modem it worked! (don't ask me why, I had already tried it a few times) I unplugged the pstn line (not the dsl line) during the call and was promptly ...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

Kevin can you tell me anymore about the minimal dial plan? I fitted a filter and connected the pstn line to my modem but there was no change. I preferrably wanted to set up the modem without the pstn connected so I could be sure I was using voip and not pstn. I also found a peer to peer menu under t...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

The tone is not what I recognize as a normal dial tone but just a solid constant tone. I already set the modem to Australia.

Our modem has ports for the incomming dsl line as well as the filtered phone line. Do they both need to be connected or does the voip communication travel via the dsl port?

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

Ok I put in the voip number as the auth name and I get green phone indicators for the two channels of the modem. When I pick up the handset (just a regular telstra analogue set) I get a constant tone. If I dial a number (and I have tried a few including the area code) after a short delay I get an en...

Re: Setting up VOIP on D-Link DVA G3670B

Thanks Dazzled. The modem seemed to accept those settings but I can only get an engaged tone from my handset through the modem. I will have to do a bit more reading I think.
