Re: Strange Billing Issues

well it looks like the support here is about as good as you get by email. Anyway I have closed my account with Exetel and I'm now hoping this will be the end of this.

Strange Billing Issues

I'm on the 8 gig HSPA plan and last week I got a text message saying I now owe Exetel $225 for excess usage which gave me a shock. I then logged in to my exetel account and I see it is under the 8 gigs, 7772. I then got an email as below saying I have 72 hours to pay the excess usage of $25 now: Exe...

Re: HSDPA Broadand Drop outs - Extremely Frustrating

Ok, here is an update I got yesterday: The tower your service connects to is flagged as congested . Unfortunately, there is no ETA on the tower receiving an upgrade at this time. You can accept the service as - is, or we can cancel the service for you. Please advise which you prefer. Unfortunately t...

Re: HSDPA Broadand Drop outs - Extremely Frustrating

If you have it set to WCDMA only, and this signal is not strong enough, then you will not be able to connect at all. Having "WCDMA preferred" is preferrable in these cases, because it will fall back to a GPRS connection if the WCDMA signal is not strong enough. If you ever have issues with losing s...

Re: HSDPA Broadand Drop outs - Extremely Frustrating

That all indicates it is negotiating a HSPDA connection, so I can only guess that mobile tower congestion may be contributing to your speeds. Any testing you can do at an alternate location would be useful. However keep liaising with Exetel support via email as this is the best means to resolving y...

Re: HSDPA Broadand Drop outs - Extremely Frustrating

Edit: ok I have written a support email to Resolution at Exetel, first try it never got sent as the net was too slow but it has been sent now, well see what they have to say about this situation! residentialsupport@exetel.com.au is the appropriate email address for support faults. I also can't log ...

Re: HSDPA Broadand Drop outs - Extremely Frustrating

Gidget, I have not used any bad language and I find it offensive that you keep implying i have! Monsoon, Lodge a support ticket if you want your speed issues looked into. But I think the best test you can try is to test the HSPA service at a different location to see if the congestion and speed issu...

Monsoon I've asked you before to moderate your language. If you cannot post in an adult fashion on this Forum then your posting privileges will be removed. Frustration does not necessarily have to lead to a tantrum. If you want help, please ask politely and/or lodge a support ticket. Gidget Im sure...

Re: HSDPA Broadand Drop outs - Extremely Frustrating

I have been getting the most horrible service in the last few days in Peak times. It has become so slow that I actually had to refresh the forum page several times and wait about 10 minutes for the page to load. What sort of pathetic service is this meant to be, you can sell this crap to people? I w...

Re: Connection & Support Problems

Seem to be getting a lot of congestion at peak times, browsing has slowed to 90's dial up speeds this evening. Can we expect improvements in the future?

Re: Connection & Support Problems

I have seen this error too. It is a generic windows error for dial-up connection (which the E169 emulates) when the remote server doesn't accept the call but I don't think it is caused by Windows. I usually dismiss it as general congestion on the mobile tower I am trying to connect to but I don't k...

Re: Connection & Support Problems

Hi, Actually I printed out the other thread about this same error and when I got home I was going to try the fix. The funny thing is though when I got home the connection was now working even though it stopped working the the previous 18 hours or so. I never changed anything either. So now I would l...

Connection & Support Problems

Hello, I have tried to log a support ticket online but when I press the submit button it won't go through as the email dropdown list that is required is blank and I can't change it? I'm not sure who to contact and I have tried calling exetel but I can't get through as written below. The problem is m...

Re: Lots of Problems with HSPA Service
