Re: Z/ULINCTEL++ and other Unlimited plans question

No one really knows yet. Some people say you should go for it, but there are others like this guy who is an admin here but doesn't actually work for Exetel trying to scare people into not downloading too much; ie: While this may be *allowed* under the terms and conditions of your plans, do you also...

Re: Unlimited ADSL2 Plans - Update

Why not just price them at a slight premium and give customers the option, instead of freezing them out altogether?

I guess it's still early days, so for now I'll just wait and see. Hopefully they can give us a definitive answer at some point in the near future though...

Seems strange. Why are naked users being treated like second class citizens? If I'd know this would be the case, I would never have chosen a naked plan.

Re: Unlimited ADSL2 Plans - Update

Just out of curiosity, will the naked plans be getting "off-peak unlimited" like the "inc" plans currently do?

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

I've got two landlines in my house. One is the business line, which has our Exetel ADSL2+ connection on it. The other is the home phone. At present, we want to keep the business line as a landline (with the ADSL service on it) and port the home phone line across to VOIP. Is it possible to do this wi...

Re: new connection of naked adsl2

If your friend was an existing Exetel customer on a Bundled or Naked service and relocating to a different house with lines and wall sockets but no active telephone account with anyone, then Exetel could arrange the transfer and avoid Telstra completely. But, since your friend is signing up for Nak...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

@ wmfoster; @ sparkyboy767 I thought I answered your inquiry before..in any event; You probably did... I'm just easily confused :P Which leads me to these points of clarification... - secondary numbers on a main line is not possible. If you mean 'secondary' on a seperate copper line (so it's really...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Thanks for the FAQ! Unfortunately it doesn't address any of my questions (mine are always out of left field!)... My main query would be if you have any news on when it will be possible to port over a secondary number (i.e. a non-bundled number on Telstra Copper)? I need to keep a PSTN line, so naked...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Thanks Paul, It's a shame that it's not available yet as I can't wait to ditch the line rental fees on that second line. I understand that it takes time to do things right and I don't want to seem impatient, but what sort of timeline are you looking at for extending this service to non-ADSL en...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Hi, I'd just like to clarify some issues with this new porting service. At the moment I have 2 Telstra PSTN lines going into my house - a home line and a business line. What I want to do is enable ADSL2+ on the business line (keeping the PSTN - i.e. NOT naked) and then port the Home number across to...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

@ Rico That would be the best way to approach it(assuming both numbers run from the HFC(cable) network and not the adsl2 copper network here). Of course, in regards to the business number I don't know if there are any additional obligations you need to be aware of with your current number - but kno...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Hi, I'm currently connected to Optus Cable with 2 PSTN phone lines (one home, one business - both on Optus equipment), but I'm looking to switch to Exetel with the end goal of porting the two PTSN numbers across to VOIP and running it all from an Exetel Naked ADSL2+ connection. What I would like to ...
