Re: Slow connection and Really bad VOIP

I'm pleased to hear that Gran, I'm not talking about a factory reset here, just how you might be able to get the software amendments to stick. I never do a factory reset, the save settings mode will do the job as well. When you say skype, do you mean the Company itself or do you use the term much li...

Re: Slow connection and Really bad VOIP

Hi Gidget, Thank you, I was pretty sure that was part of it. But, when I tried to change it and saved and rebooted it came back like this again. Also I think the Tele number is wrong? I also thought I put my number and password in? but, now I can't remember if it was the VOIP number and password! a...

Re: HSPA Usage Meter - Not Working

In view of the time of the month and concerns that I may be maxxing my data limit, it's been frustrating to be unable to access the usage meter for over 40 hours now. Is this an issue for everyone?

Re: Billion 7404VGPX - unreliable connection with Huawei 1762e

Hi Dazzled, am I missing something here? I've configured the netcomm 3G router to access exetel direct to the tower and the Huawei software is not used. Internet data is distributed wirelessly on my network and by ethernet to our desktop.

Re: Billion 7404VGPX - unreliable connection with Huawei 1762e

Ozbrit, which OS goes with the e1762 drop out? It's not happened to the modem I use, and I'd like to look into it for my own sake. Ours spends a lot of time sitting on blue, but goes straight to cyan when we ask for a web page or start a VoIP call. Well the desktop is XP and on the laptop is Vista....

Re: Billion 7404VGPX - unreliable connection with Huawei 1762e

We recently also 'upgraded' to an e1762 to use with a modem router - a Netcomm N3G005W. Previously, I had an e169 connected to this network and rarely, if ever did we have a dropout, now it can happen every few hours or so. One interesting observation is when we get one of these dropouts it isn't a ...

Re: Huawei E1762 (7.2/384) vs Huawei E160 (3.6/384)

I use VOIP with my 3G and found the the down & uploads on the E169 are considerably slower than I get with an E1762 modem. With VOIP calls and the E169, I could hear the other caller clearly (download) but they had difficulty in understanding me, every third word I spoke appeared to be getting lost....

Re: VoIP Dialling Problem

If it helps, you can use the following dial plan: |<:0011612>[89]xxxxxxx|<02:0011612>[89]xxxxxxx| which replaces 02 with / or adds 0011612. Hmmm! Would this also be applied to Pennytel in the gateway which I use to dial overseas? NO, as it only applies to your Line 1 account. With your dial plan of...

Funny thing is, when I get the engaged tone, the other end does not ring.

Until the problem is fixed, im dialling local numbers with 0011612 (which works...don't know why though!).

I had made a long reply but have had to change it as I now find that by dialing 001161 - hallelujah it works.

Re: VoIP Dialling Problem

yes the ata was purchased from Pennytel - unlocked. No it wasn't a bargain compared to those out of China. This idea is actually irrelevent if you'd checked my earlier posts as the ata previously worked well with the same settings (Exetel sip in line 1 and pennytel in the gateway) for 4 months prior...
