Re: Super slow speeds
Cerberus, Is your question about the screenshot in Mr Cat's post, that shows the only fast download coming from an iinet connection in Australia? I still can't duplicate anything like the problems mentioned there, but I don't chase US media files. This morning I got a large file, 16 seeds, and was ...

Re: Super slow speeds
Can anyone from Exetel comment on this? http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1892372&p=15#r300 The link you have provided is in reference to slow p2p speeds. Since the Exetel P2P caching severs were decommissioned, those who use p2p will be directly downloading from the source or from...

Re: Super slow speeds
Dazzled, The suggestion at other forums to try other torrent clients seemed to be a good one, currently I am testing tixati and it is running at 1100KB/s which is very acceptable for my sync. This brings up another question though, if customers torrent client and home networking setups have not chan...

Re: Super slow speeds
Thankyou for the phone call however as I tried to explain to you, the p2p cache being decommissioned is not the reason for the sudden slow p2p downloads many of your customers are currently experiencing. Many of your customers know what speeds they get when they avoided it so they know to expect mor...

Re: Super slow speeds
It sounds like Exetel have some differences on their end that's causing so many people to report bad speeds but also have a lot of people unaffected at the same time.
With not much able to be done from my end, the lack of responses from Exetel is already frustrating enough

Re: Super slow speeds
Thanks for your help Dazzled however neither my system or my network has changed and the uTorrent settings were optimised, similar to your advice, a number of years ago.
Here's the ubuntu torrent we are discussing, current pic taken right now.

Re: Super slow speeds
I've also been experiencing super slow speeds for the first consistent time in 3 years. Up until recently I had no complaints at all. Now I put up with this (Attached). For someone who could consistently get 1600KB/s for years, this is very very disappointing and I know the P2P cache excuse is not a...

Re: Unlimited ADSL2 Plans - Update
They want me to pay 10 dollars and sign a new contract for the sake of switching to 60gb peak/ unlimited off peak for $60 a month? Where is the sense in that? That is MORE data. If they wave the $10 fee and new contract period I couldn't care less as it will not affect my browsing at all but I cann...

Re: Unlimited ADSL2 Plans - Update
Hi all, Back when we had the choice of choosing between three peak and off peak times, I chose 2am to 2pm for off peak. I have noticed that since I changed to an off peak plan unlimited plan last month my off peak is now back to 12am to 12 pm. I was going to change to this new fully unlimited plan v...
