Acceptable Packet Loss

Just wondering if there's a defined % of packet loss that's acceptable for an ADSL line. I had a previous issue with peak time latency that persisted for several weeks before evidently resolving itself. I had normal internet for 4 days - now I'm getting fairly severe packet loss 24 hours a day that'...

Sounds similar to my problem.. but mine kicks in at 3:45PM and lasts until 1030PM. Base ping increases, plus spiking and packetloss. Hi, as per topic title I can be using my net fine all day, then within a few minutes of some decent rain I will lose sync and connection drops out. If I restart the router again I can usually re-sync and use the net again. I am assuming it's some dodgy insulation in a pit or conduit somewhere.. Is t...

Re: Connection drops when raining and slow speed

Hmm I get this exact same issue. A brief heavy period of rain will make my connection drop out entirely, but if persistent sometimes it will just increase my latency.. I figured it was to do with a dodgy connection somewhere in a telstra pit..
