Ok, so following from that, when we move to Toowoomba, we'll get ADSL1 to begin with.
Do we start out connecting with a Telstra line then get switched to an Optus line?

ADSL2 Waiting List
I'm moving to Toowoomba QLD in Feb 2010. Both of the exchanges with Optus DSLAMs have "limited or no ports" available. (Middle Ridge and Toowoomba) Is there any kind of port waiting list I can jump on so that I won't have to wait so long for some good speeds when I finally move back from this ADSL1 ...

I don't really care either way. I don't think the Wagga east exchange is affected by being slow just after midnight. Meanwhile people who are against the idea because they can't set up a scheduler; GET OVER IT and spend 5 minutes online finding out how to use the programs which are REALLY EASY TO US...
