Business accounts probably pay more for a service level agreement, so Exetel *has* to do more or be in breach of that agreement.

Re: Exetel Network Congestion

It was Youtube's buffering that first led me to look for speed issues.

According to Youtube's video quality report, 86% of Exetel users get HD video at 4am, compared to 49% at 9pm.

4am: 86% HD. 9pm: 49% HD.

Re: Does Exetel Offer IPv6 Yet?

I really expected IPv6 to be available at least on an opt-in basis by now. I completely understand you don't want to break things for existing customers when they don't really need it.

What are the chances of IPv6 on ADSL services in the next 12 months or so?

Re: Poor World of Warcraft performance some nights

Yeah, loss on one hop but not the next isn't usually something to pay attention to, but loss on those three hops gradually rose to about 50% and then fell back to zero over the space of about half an hour and my game experience degraded and recovered on the same curve. I couldn't find any other netw...

Poor World of Warcraft performance some nights

Some nights, WoW suddenly runs terribly and I can't figure out why. I have nothing else running on my ADSL link. I can ping Exetel no problem, 25ms. Only clue is there seems to be some oddness with 11, 13 and 15 sometimes not responding. My traceroute [v0.80] ami (0.0.0.0) Wed Oct 2 21:35:44 2013 Pa...

Re: New premium mobile broadband plans Mar03

I'm pretty disappointed in the new plans, because there isn't anything there that suits me. I want 1.5 gigs of data and the ability to make phone calls, even though I make hardly any calls. I've been using a mobile broadband plan in a mobile phone. I use a fair bit of data but make almost no voice c...

Re: New plan, old sync speed.

Same problem. Got bumped to ADSL1-R-20 here at work, Exetel site says 8192/384, still syncing at 1500.

I've power cycled the modem. Haven't tried turning it off for any length of time, people in the office will complain.

Re: ADSL 2 dropouts

Looking at the traffic graphs at https://www.exetel.com.au/members/a_network.php, it looks like something exploded at midnight and hasn't come back yet.

Re: FAQ

How goes Exetel's IPv6 rollout? Any chance of IPv6 over PPPoE in the next 12 months or so?

Re: FAQ

Last I heard, Exetel were waiting for IPv6 from more of their upstream providers, otherwise IPv6 would give a worse experience to end users than IPv4.

It has been quite some time since anything was said, though.

Re: Outage 23 Feb @ 13:45

I regained partial connectivity using Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 btw) but those are now inaccessible too.

Re: What does this mean? - Slow connection speed

A network link is full and the supplier is taking their time upgrading it. Exetel has been told it'll be done in the next few weeks.

Just for the record, the blue post suggesting the setting is http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic ... ?page=5#92.

There's a bit of information on this setting on Wowpedia, too.
