Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
I wouldn't personally use a plan that didn't include those numbers, a few years ago I had my wallet stolen in the city and rang my bank immediately to have the credit cards canceled. It was a 13 number and while I was on hold for quite a while I wasn't prepared for the $47 extra charge outside of th...

Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
Thank you for the clarification, with those numbers excluded the plans really are of no interest to me.

Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
I was a bit confused by my first reading of the capped mobile plans, at first it seemed like 1300 numbers were included but now I see they are excluded.
Could you please confirm what calls are excluded,
Thanks.

Re: Revised ADSL2 Plans From September 1st
Thank you for the extra peak d/load, I'm not a huge user and this has just solved my peak off peak problem.
It's nice to get something extra in this day and age.

Re: Practical alternatives for managing off-peak and congestion
I guess it's difficult to satisfy everyone, myself I use all of my 6gb peak and on average only about 2 to 2.5gb off peak I didn't think I was causing any problem with my usage so I left the offpeak as it was. I would prefer that the 12 hours remained as it lets me spread my usage to better suit my ...

Re: Practical alternatives for managing off-peak and congestion
Like I said before one size won't fit all, personally I might stay up to browse a bit after midnight but I wouldn't wait up till 2am....that's me, maybe a lot of others too. So it doesn't really follow that the 2am slot will cause slowdown the same as the midnight slot......logically. And if I had a...

Re: Practical alternatives for managing off-peak and congestion
Maybe from another perspective, an option to have an alloction for lighter users of say 10 to 20gb all up with no peak or off peak.
Exetel will know what they can allocate for the price, I think it could be a good alternative for "average" users.

Re: Practical alternatives for managing off-peak and congestion
Obviously one size is not going to fit all... What about, you choose your offpeak time but in choosing a longer period of time ie 12 hours.. 12till 12 for example your download allowance is lessened to say 20 or 30gb. Then as you shorten your offpeak say 2am till 12pm then you download is increased ...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times
If there must be two levels of Exetel customers, why don't the low volume users remain as they are and the high volume users who are presumably the cause of the problem have their offpeak restricted.

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times
As far as good Exetel citizens are concerned what about viewing it from our side. I personally don't use much of my allowances but do like the flexibility of the two time frames and "average" my use out between the two. The loss of the two hours will affect me because I will runover into peak time m...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times
1) You are complaining about a ten hour off peak period and extolling AAPT for offering a six our off peak period?....and at a much higher price? http://aapt.com.au/services/personal-small-business/personal/unlimited-broadband-internet 2) You're claiming TPG offers 10 gb for $29.00 but fail to poin...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times
The AAPT offpeak is 2am - 8am (EST) and that's only 6 hours. How much can one person download in 6 hours anyway with all other customers doing the same in that short period of time. Most of us don't even come close to our 60GB limit. [/quote] My point was that other ISP's are changing to benefit th...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times
I was one of the people who was active in the discussion for the user's ability to change the off peak times and I thought that issue was now resolved. I personally didn't get around to changing the times being a light user as I was waiting to assess my time/ usage. Now it looks like that window has...

Re: Usage meter seemingly out
I got the redirect page yesterday as well, same as some of the others I had no access to see what was the issue. I logged a fault by phone but it closed with " customer is online"........I was but I wasn't. I logged another fault with an explanation this time. I waited quite a while then rang the He...

Perhaps, more likely some people are just negative by nature.
All I was interested in doing was making a genuine contribution.
Hope it helped.
Thanks.
