Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

"ADSL2 pass Fail - No ports available - CAN based DSLAM" - well that solves the mystery why my upgrade failed. I might query the exetel page daily for changes but I have no idea how often or if at all new ports become available.

I'm 2.1km away.

Re: TW ADSL2 upgrade failed

I got the exact same message. Then in my user facitlities it says "You don't have any Powertel ADSL2 Service changing plan status.". This is despite the fact I am definitely trying to change to the TE-2E which is provided by Telstra. So what do I do now?

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Kind of off-topic, but just wondering... If you are doing a "cheap" 200GB plan for Telstra are you considering doing something similar for Optus and AAPT plans? We already offer 180 gb off peak allowances. How much does anyone seriously need? Depends on whether or not Exetel decides to include free...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

I am on the Narellan exchange (NRLN) and we only have ADSL2 with telstra, so how do i find out what region this is in to see if I am eligible? Btw. I am very excited for this; I had never anticipated Telstra would budge. :D

Re: Temporarily Change Service

Your modem is still talking to Exetel though, with a bad login. Do you wish to edit your friend's account details, or do you want to log into his computer and use that? Bigpond will resist your using your friend's data allowance directly. Actually, I just wanted to log in to my bigpond business acc...

Temporarily Change Service

If I wanted to log into a friend's or "business" bigpond account temporarily would this be possible? If so, how long would it take to switch over from my regular exetel connection to the bigpond one? I changed my netgear router login from my exetel one to the bigpond one, as well as update the DNS t...

I see your point but it is still pretty rare for them to change conditions like that.

Re: On plan for 1 day - Already Obsolete

That was not the case last time, i signed up with 100 free Voip calls, 30 free SMS, and free fax per month as according to the contract. Half way through the contract Exetel scraped all the freebies. I'm sure you would have know about this a few months back? This is what i meant the word contract d...

Re: Z/ULINCTEL++ and other Unlimited plans question

What does "unlimited" mean to Exetel? It rarely (ever?) means really unlimited, i have heard the number 86 GB thrown around a lot, but im not sure if that's related. Unrelated. So my question: To what degree are these plans unlimited? and Can you back that up with a link/documentation ? I can't see...

Re: On plan for 1 day - Already Obsolete

I have learnt my lesson not to take on any more of the new plan offer by Exetel. They can change the plan anytime so the term contract doesn't mean anything. Its either you go with someone else or stay with them. They aren't changing the plans. If you lock on to a contract they usually let you stay ...

Re: On plan for 1 day - Already Obsolete

Its Exetel that has stuffed around with all these different plans coming out willy-nilly, so don't blame us customers for wanting to change plans every 5 minutes if Exetel can't stick to a stable set. How are they blaming you? They have done nothing but give you more options. give us all one last f...

Re: Any way to get more time?

Nevermind. I have just changed my payment method to direct debit instead of credit card so will have to wait for 2-3 days to get my interwebz back. :(

Any way to get more time?

Long story short; I had insufficient funds in my account for the visa debit this month so my adsl1 was cut off. I extended for 72 hours and thought I had made a deposit in this time but I am still getting an insufficient funds error (extra $20 in fees so far for the 2 rejects). So is there any chanc...
