Re: Not happy John

I'm not denying any of that. Taking things totally off topic for a bit of a bump: drive out through Dalby, Chinchilla, Roma etc and see how much love Anna Bligh is getting out that way. Hard to believe people are so easily fooled by her greasy TV persona during these flood crisis but people out ther...

Re: Not happy John

Similar water issues here. We were experiencing periodic disconnections but since the techs have been out in response to some dead phone lines in the area I am unable to sync higher than 4282. The rain has caused some major problems as it always does, but it is absolutely nothing compared to some of...

Speed - Water damaged equipment in Brisbane

Hi guys, quick query for anyone that has any ideas. Since all of this water has been coming down my ADSL2 has dropped to a maximum throughput of about 300KBps. I have kept my hat on so far as it is fairly understandable and I am about to move out as soon as all the roads open. I am seeking advice on...

Re: Major speed issues Brisbane 20:23 05/11/2010 ??

Again, the problem disappears of its own accord just as suddenly as it appeared. The issue with contacting support is that they start asking for a bunch of carefully collated logs and speed test results documenting my problem. Whilst I am more than capable of this, it is not my job to carry out diag...

Re: Major speed issues Brisbane ALL WEEKEND + 22/11/2010

I cannot believe I am paying for this service.

100k/ second? Really?

Is there some reason customers should have to put up with these random speed fits?

Re: Major speed issues Brisbane 20:23 05/11/2010 ??

Reset modem, waited.

It is now spiking up and down like a yo yo but at least it isn't sitting on the very very low numbers.

Maybe just Fri evening traffic? Haven't had congestion issues for a while though.

Major speed issues Brisbane 20:23 05/11/2010 ??

Holy snapping ducksh*t, batman!

Getting about 22KBps here for some reason...no known faults recorded.

Anybody else?

Re: cease of plan/there will be no change emails

I am on an old NF/23NOTEL and got the same emails as you. One telling me my plan will be canceled and then another a couple of days later saying there will be no change. I still haven't managed to clear that up yet but I have a sneaking suspicion our service will be terminated if we don't change by ...

Re: Brisbane - Fantastic speeds this weekend

I am just up the road from you and yes, similar thing here.

Seems I spoke too soon but it is still marginally faster than it has been.

320KB instead of 100-200.

Re: Unlimited ADSL2 Plans - Update

More than likely moving to the NT in quite a remote location soon, so it may end up being the latter :)

Had some news today that we will not likely have to be locked into a contract after all so I was worried about nothing...hopefully

Re: Off Peak Period Change

Yeah I have no problem with the new plans.

Did you have to start a fresh contract when you switched though? I've been out of contract for a while now but it looks as though I would have to start a new one to switch to the new plans.

Re: Off Peak Period Change

bodogbodog, please see my reply in this thread: http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=35731&start=45#p275538 I'm not sure if they will see reason here but I'm not in the position to sign a new contract and I don't really see why I should pay $10 to switch plans when I am being forced to. Ne...

Re: Unlimited ADSL2 Plans - Update

It seems that we do not have a choice in signing up! Absolutely unbelievable. "As you may know you are currently using an ADSL plan that was discontinued a long time ago by Exetel. It is now no longer viable for us to continue to provide this plan to you at the current pricing because it is now belo...

Re: Off Peak Period Change

Just to clarify: I am out of contract and currently my peak/off peak is 12->12. This will remain unchanged until September and for those who switched to unlimited, until their contract expires. If this is correct, what is the new plan of attack to ensure the service is actually usable from 7am-12pm ...
