Re: You want twice for less?
I'm hoping James reads this and I get some action because my telephone calls and emails to complaints have not worked at all. I understand the changing times and the fact that the Z8 plans were "too good to be true". Hey, it was nice while it lasted. I have 3 x Z8 plans and one CAP19 plan that is pa...

Re: July Z* mobile specials
1) If I drop the CAP19 can I still stay on OT-FREE 1 for $30? -No you have to do a plan change for the ADSL service as well. Thanks. That's really all I needed to know. 3) But better still, if I cancel the CAP19 (I'm off contract) then I believe my number must be reserved for a certain time period ...

Re: July Z* mobile specials
I too would like to switch from CAP19 to Z8. In my case, my ADSL2 plan is OT-FREE 1 which came bundled with CAP19 - $30 for ADSL + $19 for CAP19 = $49 total outlay per month. So my questions are: 1) If I drop the CAP19 can I still stay on OT-FREE 1 for $30? 2) If the answer to 1) is yes then I can s...

Re: Exetel MoIP
With the hopefully temporary absence of the Exetel MOIP app for iOS4 is there a way to send SMS from my iphone without going to the exetel web page? That is, does anyone know of any other apps out there which might be able to achieve the same thing?

Re: Free Wireless with ADSL questions
Thank you. Those were pretty much the answers I expected. That leaves just two remaining points of clarification: m) I will be SIP registered from two different devices (mobile phone + ADSL/VOIP all-in-one modem) simultaneously. Does this matter? Which phone rings if someone tries to dial my DID? yo...

Free Wireless with ADSL questions
I'm pretty good with computers and networking and all that stuff but I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to mobiles. I'm currently on Z/21INCTEL and I'm thinking of switching to one of the new ADSL2 plans with 100Mb of free Wireless Broadband, probably OTBW. I can't find a complete set of answers anyw...

Re: Off Peak Period Change
I can only echo the frustration of others. I've changed plans twice in two months, the first time it was a $5 more expensive plan which became obsolete the very day I switched, the second time (this month) a $5 less expensive plan and a cost of $10. This time my plan switch took 5 days to become eff...

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
Imagine me on the 1st April, feeling all wonderful about how I was finally with Exetel's most up-to-date plans rather than my old clunker.....and then quick as a flash my new plan ceased to exist! I don't understand why you didn't change your choice to the newer plan that you say you prefer rather ...

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes
(Apologies: Yes, I know I've already whinged here http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=288&t=35737 but these latest changes have only added to my feeling of grief) OK. First, I'm not such an incredible tight-arse that I really mind the actual $10 to change plans. Second, I probably will stump ...

On plan for 1 day - Already Obsolete
This is getting just a little frustrating. I realise Exetel has to keep up with the changing marketplace and blah-de-blah-de-blah. Truly, you guys are doing a great job in keeping my prices down and my service good, but please - pick a set of plans and stick to them! After much wailing and gnashing ...

Re: Plan Change Fee/New 'Ancillary Service Pricing
This is good news and shows that Exetel still is top of the pops when it comes to listening to and dealing with its customers. There's just one or two missing details: Are these ancillary packages to be available across the board to all plans, not just those that have had the freebies removed? If I ...

Re: Withdrawal Of Free Included Services On Older Plans
I'm still unclear as to whether the price list - 5c for a VOIP landline call and 15c/min for VOIP to mobile - applies only to those on old plans who have had the freebies stripped away or if its across all the plans. I assumed it was the latter and considered switching plans. Seeing that the freebie...

Billion 7401VGP drop outs/slow sync : Possible solution!
I hope this isn't a repeat topic of something everyone else knows. I've scoured the forums and haven't found anything that is as direct as this advice - I have a Billion 7401VGP, v5.73 firmware and may have stumbled across a solution for anyone else that has experienced repeated drop outs and low sy...

Re: Maths Problems
Looks like we've bored everyone else to tears, so I'll keep this brief. The unacknowledged nature of multicast makes it more prone to packet loss, Trivially solved using modern checksumming and hashing. Any retransmissions required don't actually add anything to the total bandwidth, a seeder can't b...

Re: Maths Problems
I can only think of three ways in which copyright infringers can continue unabated: If the efforts of tracking an infringer (cost) outweigh the benefits of catching them (fines) Mass obfuscation like onion routing Minimising exposure time to detection (as you say, download fast, then remove yoursel...
