Re: Tethering iPhone With Exetel
Have you tried enabling tethering via the iPhone configuration? Browse to http://www.unlockit.co.nz/ from your iphone to generate a config file which you can accept / apply to enable the tethering setting. This is the way I switched corporate iPhones that were "locked" to Optus across to Exetel for ...

Re: fetchtv?
The FetchTV option looks pretty good to me. May I ask why you feel it's not appropriate? Even just having it on the marketing tick sheet could help sway potential customers that are debating between Internode, iiNet or Exetel as their ISP based on their "future requirements". I presume it would not ...

Re: Best Software For VoIP
Interesting post from John Linton's blog: We will shortly release a 'perfect' VoIP over mobile application. I have been using our beta version for a year now with no problems. #4.1.1.1 JL on 2009-10-30 14:58 (Reply) 'perfect' I will beleive it when I see it and use it. There has been no updates on t...

Re: VOIP DID suddenly diverting to a different VOIP number
Hoorah!!! My incoming call problem has been resolved. Huge thanks to Theje at Exetel for "yelling at a [VOIP] tech" and getting the backend diversion removed from my VOIP number. I also needed to add PCMU (G.711 u-law) to the Codec preference to be able to receive calls (it was removed by an Exetel ...

Re: Voicemail SMS Alerts Not Working
Theje at Exetel is currently looking into the SMS Alerts not working. The incoming calls not working turned out to be a diversion in their backend VOIP Server which a VOIP engineer eventually identified and removed. I have no idea how it happened in the first place but I can receive incoming calls n...

Re: Voicemail SMS Alerts Not Working
The voicemail SMS Alerts are not working for my either.
But I have bigger issues as I incoming calls are being diverted elsewhere.
Regards,
Michael.

VOIP DID suddenly diverting to a different VOIP number
Hi all, I've been having issues with my VOIP service for the past week (which has been working fine for the month previous) and as I haven't had much luck getting it sorted via the helpdesk (Ticket #1798176) despite considerable time and effort on their part, I figured I'd ask if anyone else has any...

Re: extra VOIP number on new ADSL2 account
Hi Roy, Actually you need to email: voip@exetel.com.au as voipsupport@exetel.com.au allegedly isn't used. Did you get your problem sorted out? I've had a similar problem where I've signed up for Naked DSL and requested my Sydney number ported in. The Sydney number shows as one of my VOIP services, b...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP
Hi Paul,
But, I've put my order through for Naked ADSL anyway as I'd like to get this going as soon as possible.
Thanks for all your help. I look forward to being an Exetel customer.
Regards,
Michael.
It's not changed yet.I'll get that changed shortly.

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP
Hi Paul, Thanks for the quick response. @ wmfoster; Use the https://www.exetel.com.au/naked_adsl2/residential_online_form.php form. The other form will go down and be incorporated In this one as we no longer do the interm HSPA modems. Any chance of updating the above form to not say: (7) ** WARNING ...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP
Hi Paul, Thanks for the FAQ interesting info. Onto my specific case... I phoned Telstra (to check my request to transfer my number back to Telstra had been received - the Telstra agent couldn't see the job in his system but said it may still be in another system and not reached his yet) and was told...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP
I will have the FAQ up on Monday. If you are on an iinet dslam then you can not transfer to our naked/bundled optus service and thus the number can't be ported to our network. If you have your ADSL2 only on iinet infrastructure and your telephone on a Telstra DSLAM you could port to our naked adsl2...

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP
Hi Paul, Re: posting quoted below..., do you have an ETA on the FAQ? I currently have an iiNet ADSL2+ connection with iiNet charging me for my voice line as well. I'd like to switch to an Exetel naked plan but I need to keep my existing PSTN phone number. (incidentally I'm also looking at an M1 mobi...
