Re: How to cancel service?
Just like to add here that I've tried to cancel one of my services via my account portal but it doesn't seem to send the message even making sure I tick the AGREE bit. No confirmation email as well.
I've sent an email to billing to cancel it & will see if that works. (on Monday of course!)

Re: Kingston SE, SA down
Any news on this outage? I think Exetel is entitled to claim compensation for this "improvement" that has not been advised? 6 or 7 vehicles, a huge travel tower that reaches to the top of the town water supply tower just can't be described as a breakdown? I have several customers that I talked into ...

Re: Kingston SE, SA down
Hope they soon sort things out.
Painfully expensive using Telstra ............
The phone is trying to work but the Internet reports 2G and just won't connect at all.
I suspect the phone is connecting through the Mount Benson transmitter some distance away.

Kingston SE, SA down
Optus apparently are 'updating' the antenna at Kingston SE, SA and therefore no 3G phone or Internet. Been out for a couple of days. Any advice about likely return of services? I spoke to one of the workers onsite but he couldn't tell me anything. It looked like it was on last night but was 2G and n...

service availability
I've tried using the facility to look at what is available in my location but I can never get to see the map.
I've tried entering the postcode or the full address but it just does nothing at all.
Can someone else please test this out?

Re: Explain VOIP?
Bellag I've placed the order now. I already have services with Exetel so I signed in to it, scrolled down to "VOIP", Clicked on "order VOIP", Filled in the order form, and it is on the CONFIRM ORDER form that it says 'no calls included' and also once submitted it also says 'no calls included' in the...

Re: Explain VOIP?
When I looked at the plans it mentions 60 free calls included but when I went through the ordering form it says "0" calls included?
Is that a glitch in the software or have plans changed?

Re: Explain VOIP?
OK, I'll give it a try and see how it goes. I'll still have my Exetel mobiles if need be. It won't 'break the bank' as they say. Not much point in looking up coverage as I'm intending to be either in a motorhome or a houseboat ......... travelling! Wished there was more choices of modems to plug in ...

Explain VOIP?
I'm considering cancelling all my landline services & going over completely to Exetel. Firstly I'd like comments on using VOIP over 3G. Even if it works 'sometimes' I'd still consider it. Does anyone have it in use and are receiving calls without problems? Secondly I am a little confused when I look...

Yes I know that but in the email you omitted the """ included call allowance of $200 for calls, SMS's and MMS's"""
No biggy..... your loss.

Email needs adjustment?
I just received the Newsletter from Exetel. In it I looked at the mobile phone plans. I deleted it so can't quote exactly but it indicated the "small" est plan that it included some free SMS & MMS calls, free to other exetel mobile eyc etc. It did not mention some free NORMAL calls in the basic cost...

Re: Router or Line Problem?
Have had a similar problem on 2 services and both times the issue of a new port fixed the problem. (rebuilding the port failed)
Bite your tongue & get Telstra to look at it. I honestly have yet to hear of anyone being charged for the 'false callout'.

Re: Asus eeePC 900 linux and E160E modem
Thankyou for your help. My previous post did say I had it on the 120gig HD. (I removed completely the other HD with XP on it) I think the slowness is more to do with the video card driver deficiency....... apparently a common problem? It's rather like Windows before you install the correct video car...
