Re: Urgent Changes needed - disconnecting HSPA for "excess fees"
Hmmm it says "minimum of 10 services" on the business HSPA pricing page - does that mean I can't just order one plan?

Re: Urgent Changes needed - disconnecting HSPA for "excess fees"
Thanks, good suggestion - I'd never even noticed the business HSPA plans! Do you know if there are any differences between the BUSMA plan and my current WM-B plan? For instance would I still get 5c webSMS and the same VOIP rates?

Re: Urgent Changes needed - disconnecting HSPA for "excess fees"
I have found this to be very frustrating too and have already raised this with exetel over the phone without a satisfactory outcome, so I don't feel it inappropriate to discuss it here. On Monday I was disconnected with no notice - I received an SMS saying I have excess usage charges (which is inher...

HSPA outage in Melbourne?
I have full 3G/3.5G reception using my Exetel sim today in my usual location (Fitzroy) and have no issues making voice calls, but I've had virtually no broadband for the past 24 hrs (every now and then a page will load if I keep retrying every 5 minutes). Looking at the MRTG charts, I see there does...

Re: Sending SMS
Not sure where best to post this but... given Exetel's new SMS pricing as of 25/2/10, is there still a difference in pricing between web SMS sent via apps like ColbySMS, and SMS sent via GSM? It used to be something crazy like 25c per message if using the optus network instead of the exetel gateway

Re: Can't send mail from Gmail SMTP in Outlook
ok I figured what they meant by updating was upgrading to the latest version of office but if there's service packs then I'll give it a shot. It used to work fine when I was on optus, and I tend not to bother updating stuff that works! But it does seem like that's the answer. THanks

Re: Can't send mail from Gmail SMTP in Outlook
Thanks for the suggestions - unfortunately as I'm still on Outlook 2002 I don't have the option for TLS, I gave port 587 a try but it failed without being able to enable TLS.

Can't send mail from Gmail SMTP in Outlook
Hi, I can't send emails from my gmail account via SMTP in Outlook unless I use the exetel server (smtp.vic.exemail.com.au on port 25 without SSL) - the problem with using the exetel server is that sent items don't stay in sync between the Gmail webmail interface and outlook, so no accessing sent ite...

Re: ExeSMS application for Mobiles
Is development of the ExeSMS java app continuing? I just upgraded from a Nokia N80 to an E72 and now ExeSMS doesn't work for me on this device - when i send a message it just says "sending message" and freezes.

How to improve VOIP quality over HSPA
Hi, I've been using mobile VOIP on an Exetel WM-A HSPA plan for a week or so, both via my Nokia N80's built-in SIP client and via Fring. I have good WCDMA reception but can't get good VOIP quality. When using the built-in Nokia client I get drop-outs on every call. With Fring, it sounds like it's us...

Re: VoIP on HSPA
Thanks for clearing that up guys! Ok trying out a WM-A sim sounds like the way to go. If it turns out to be suitable, does anyone know if it would be possible to port my current mobile number from my existing provider after I've tested it out a bit? It does worry me a bit that when I was trying to m...

VoIP on HSPA
The Voice Call Prices page on the Exetel site is misleading as it currently stands, because it makes no distinction between pre- and post-paid HSPA, with regard to VoIP services, and I can't find any mention of a distinction between pre-and post-paid HSPA anywhere else on the site either. I signed u...
