Login failure with new service number
Hi, I've been a bit slack and until yesterday have continued to use the old service number despite being given a new one some months ago. Yesterday when I finally decided to update my details the login came back incorrect username or password. I was able to login successfully to the members faciliti...

Re: Blocked from some websites
I have the same issue with only a small number of sites being available.
Interestingly this only happened this morning after I requested an IP change.
I've restarted my modem several times and restored the factory defaults without success.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Simon

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
Is the plan change fee waived only when changing from ONB to OCV or can I change to an OT plan without paying the fee?
I have decided I want to move on to the OT30 plan which gives me about the same download quota I had for a minimal increase of $2.
Thanks,
Simon

Re: Naked users forgotten?
So, what's in this for me? Given that I'm going to be worse of under the new plan is there anything else to tempt me to stay? What are these new upgrades mentioned in the January newsletter? Will I see any benefits from these with improved latency? I know I probably fit in to a minority group here b...

Re: Naked users forgotten?
There is currently no value for me in taking up one of these new plans. I currently pay $53 for my naked service (I have never gone close to exceeding my 30 gig) and $19.99 for a TPG capped mobile plan which gives me $300 credit per month. If I was going to change it would have to be for the OCV - 2...

Re: Latency increase across the board
This issue has been plaguing me on the Hamilton exchange for some time now, and I've recently noticed it has a 12 day cycle. After 12 days of 20ms pings to Sydney it's gone back to 50ms pings. Checking whirlpool posts I've made in the past it is pretty much consistant with a 12 day rotation, and I ...

Re: Latency increase across the board
!!? You really think that 14ms difference puts you at a "distinct disadvantage". Try http://reflextest.net/reaction/color.htm. Human reaction time to visual stimulae is about 190ms meaning the time it takes you to click your mouse puts you at more of a disadvantage than your connection's latency It...

Re: Increased Latency. Why??
You could try G.DMT (ADSL) modulation in your modem in place of ADSL2+, which will slow you to 8Mbps, but I think that even this will retain the interlaced path and not have much effect. Yeah, I've tried changing my modem modulation and there is a minuscule improvement. The exception are tournament...

Increased Latency. Why??
Hi, For two weeks I have been able to ping the exetel server at 30-32ms. Prior to that two week period I was getting ping times of 42-44ms. Since Wednesday I have been receiving the ping results show below. Pinging 220.233.0.50 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 220.233.0.50: bytes=32 time=48ms TTL=6...

Re: Latency increase across the board
I am in New Lambton and have noticed a significant drop in latency over the past two days. Up until about two weeks ago I was getting approx 42ms, then for no apparent reason it dropped to approx 30ms(awesome!) and remained that way until yesterday. Now it has returned to about 44ms. I like to trade...

Re: No Internet
I have naked dsl but plugged the phone in and got the busy signal which i gather is what i should receive. I have done the reboot thing and tried different modems and nothing. My modem wont connect because it is saying the line is not ready. I have logged a fault ticket.

No Internet
Hi,
My service has been down since about 5pm.
I have tried my back up modem and still nothing. My modem is saying my connection is down.
The odd thing is prior to it going down my pings to exetel were 27-30ms which is way better than what i have received in the past.
Thanks,
Simon

Re: Unacceptably slow speeds New Lambton
From mid morning yesterday everything has seemed to return to something like normal. Without doing a single thing on my behalf. Very odd! I'm still not receiving the speeds i was previously though. It appears i may be on an 8mb profile as my modem is showing i'm in g.dmt mode. If so can i have this ...
