Re: Unable to access message bank
All sorted, thanks for your support, problem was that even though my Voip details were set on the Dynalink page under Voice, they obviously dropped out at some stage and I simply had to hit "apply" again ... sorry for the inconvenience but thanks again for your help / responses.

Re: Unable to access message bank
Hi again, So when I first joined with exetel on the naked (voip) plan, I think my original PSTN no. was converted into a VOIP no. and I also got a new VOIP no. For some reason, I couldn't work out how to use my original no. so I only ever used the new VOIP no. and that worked fine. When I then signe...

Re: Unable to access message bank
Note - something strange (well to me) and that may be of use in clarifying things for you ... the link you sent in your first response takes me to a page which says 'modify your voip service' and under current voip service details it says "you don't have voip service with exetel". Yet as per my last...

Re: Unable to access message bank
Hi again, I've tried dialling via VOIP (i.e. without the prefix ## which I use to make PSTN calls) 121 (both dialling then pressing the call button and vice versa) but it rings then a mechanical voice says unfortunately the no. you have dialled was incomplete or incorrect, please try again. I do sti...

Re: Unable to access message bank
I have a Dynalink RTA1046VW modem if that's what an ATA is? How would I know if a 'dial plan' is interfering?

Unable to access message bank
Hi there, I'm now on the OCV200 / 35 plan and my modem is set so that I can make calls via VOIP or via PSTN (by using a prefix before dialling). This is all working very well though I've just realised that my answering machine is only linked up to the PSTN no. so if people call the VOIP no. it goes ...

Charged for calls to Optus mobiles
Hi there, I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem ... since changing to the OCV200/35 from the naked service I was on, despite the new plan including free calls (from PSTN line) to Optus mobiles, I've been charged nearly $99 for calls to my partner's pre-paid Optus mobile ...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
just in case it is of any use - the DSL light on my modem has been either off or flashing and on my modem webpage it says DSL router not ready to connect with either "handshaking" or "training" or often "down". at those times only the power light, the flashing or absent DSL light and the WLAN light ...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
hi again, i just wanted to mention that since setting up the VOIP and PSTN combination with the filter / splitter in place for this OCV plan, my internet has been much slower and dropping out (several times - after a few minutes each time), have re-booted my modem 2 or 3 times this afternoon. the ph...

Re: Some basic questions on VOIP
Hi guys, bit late in the piece I know but i've just configured my modem for VOIP and PSTN use (was previously VOIP only) and just wanted to add for anyone's future reference that my uniden phone is the same as what dazzled said re the panasonic handset - i.e. for PSTN if i dial the prefix and phone ...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
Ok, sorry re the ADSL / PSTN question I should have read manual for the modem first, i've just plugged filter / splitter in as it suggests and i can now receive the PSTN calls, i'll have a go at configuring the modem re the prefix thing and let you know if i have any trouble
thanks
