Re: NBN outage Penrith

Dear Sir, It is a change that will be better for you and other end users, as it takes out a layer of providing the service. Exetel does NBN where it can connect directly, and uses Optus for other parts of the country. Again my apologies for your service being down, we do our best, and I can assure ...

Re: NBN outage Penrith

James, A change I never asked for and did not want. The NBN service has not been problematic until this change, so I have to ask better for whom? Seems to contradict this press release http://www.itnews.com.au/news/exetel-signs-wholesale-nbn-deal-with-optus-408803 Paul from provisioning needs to get...

Re: NBN outage Penrith

Sorry its not an outage its an upgrade. Therefore no need to advise anyone or post on website/forums. Now blaming Optus was NBN until I reported that my Telstra and iiNet neighbours can use the NBN. Claimed that if I buy a Business Grade service they could fix it immediately but because I am Residen...

Re: DNS Fails intermittently

Problem appears to have resolved itself around 7pm last night. Was failing less frequently in afternoon and then became chronic again around 6pm. Finally decided to setup a batch file that pipes ipconfig /all, tracert and nslookup to exetel, bom, smh and google to a text file for posting here. Vpn t...

Re: DNS Fails intermittently

Dazzled - using DHCP assigning fixed IP and DNS servers by mac address. Modem/router address is NOT one of the DNS servers. Once DHCP lease is assigned the computer is doing the whole job itself. Confirmed settings with ipconfig also flushed dns cache on PC multiple times when it was failing. CoryPl...

DNS Fails intermittently

Re: Unplanned ADSL outage NSW 11:30am

As I stated in the first post - it reconnected and was working. Disappeared again at 1:10pm with same username password problem. Same issue as peter_mcc who I believe is St Leonards exchange and I am on Homebush exchange. Posting via mobile. Exetel status "no known issues". and 10 mins later "Teleph...

Re: Z8 and Z15 plans - August calls/data included in Sept us

We have escalated your query. However please note that Exetel is a not a direct service provider to supply live updates of your usage and Exetel act as a reseller. Hence it is difficult to get all the required voice usage in time for the previous calendar month, however Exetel includes all the poss...

Re: Z8 and Z15 plans - August calls/data included in Sept us

Just out of interest, would you be satisfied if Exetel implemented option a) as described in my post above (i.e., made an adjustment to the August bill that appears in the September bill, rather than included data used in August as part of the September bill)? No need to adjust the August invoice a...

Re: Z8 and Z15 plans - August calls/data included in Sept us

Response received in email from Exetel billing was:- "Unfortunately it is not possible to offset the total calls/data against the correct period as it takes a gap of approx 2 to 3 business days minimum for wholesale suppliers to update their resellers. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inc...
