Re: What plan to select - ADSL1 to ADSL2??

Under my members section, it would only allow me to apply for the T8-5 plan, which is still for ADSL1 (I presume), but at a faster maximum speed of 8 meg(??) So I applied for this the other day. Would you now believe that we got a letter from Telstra (Bigpond) saying that ADSL2+ is now available in ...

Re: What plan to select - ADSL1 to ADSL2??

I do not believe AAPT infrastructure is activated in Port Macquarie. Check for yourself here https://www.exetel.com.au/adsl2_aapt/residential_online_qualify.php Interesting. I tried the Qualification search and it says ADSL2 is not available for my number. Does this mean only for AAPT ADSL2? How do...

What plan to select - ADSL1 to ADSL2??

Hi all, I hope I have posted this in the correct section. I am looking at upgrading my current plan (T1.5-30) to ADSL2 but I am unsure of which plan to select. I am in Port Macquarie NSW (2444). How do I know which service to select - Optus/Telstra/AAPT? Any assistance appreciated. Thanks, Ian Millard

Re: VoIP Server down

Hi Martin,

My VOIP has a loud buzzing noise in the handset that is not usually there. I can hear the dial tone over the top of the buzz, but just wondering what it could be? Normal PSTN phone is OK. ADSL is OK.

Cheers,

Ian

Can't connect with Huawei E180

Having trouble connecting using a E180 modem.

Software and drivers all loaded on PC.

"exetel1" APN entered in profile.

When CONNECT clicked, it just sits there.

Any suggestions?

The modem was previously with Optus, but as far as I know, is unlocked.

Thanks.

Re: Beta firmware for NB9WMAXX

Hi all, Just been reading a bit about firmware upgrades for the NB9WMAXX. I only recently got mine last week and it shows the current firmware is D111-S306NCM-C02_R03. Could someone please confirm if the version that MartinV posted on Sept 10 (D111-S306NCM-C01_R04) is the latest version, and should ...

Re: New ADSL1 Plans

I originally signed up for plan TL-BA with the 100 free VOIP calls per month as one of the benefits. My members area still shows me as on TL-BA, but can anyone from Exetel confirm if I am still on this plan, or have I been moved to TL-C1 plan which appears the equivalent of TL-BA, and if I still hav...

Getting started with VOIP

Hi all,

I am currently on plan TL-BA, but am yet to get a VOIP package due to a delay in getting a modem.

What I would like to know is, to get VOIP up and running, all I have to do is order a VOIP service via the members area?

How quickly does this usually happen once submitted?

Thanks.

Porting mobile from Optus to Exetel

Hi all, On Monday last I applied to port my existing Optus mobile to Exetel.. The SIM arrived in the mail today, but I was just wondering, once I go through the activation steps, do I need to do any more with Optus in regards to cancelling account etc? Or is this taken care of by Exetel as part of t...

Re: No DSL light on modem

My bad. How stupid do I feel now?

I had the modem lead plugged into my network CAT5 port in the wall and not the RJ12 one.

DOH!!

Apologies.

No DSL light on modem

Hi all, Just got ADSL connected on Thursday last, and now trying to set up my modem (Dynalink RTA1025W). Should the DSL light be on when the modem is plugged in but not actually connected to the net? If so, mine is off, but I don't know if it's the modem or if my connection is still not active. Are ...

Re: Churn from Bigpond to Exetel

Hi Corey, I in no way intended to imply that Exetel was at fault here. I was just annoyed that whilst twice having applied for ADSL with Exetel and twice got rejected on technical grounds, all of a sudden, I was able to get it through Bigpond. I have since found out that my contract with Bigpond won...
